Bear Creek Valley Golf Club

Course was in great shape. Greens were rolling well. Probably medium fast. Course has a lot of elevation change. Fairways are nice some narrow some open wide. There are some attachable holes out there if you can hit the fairway. Very possible for a low score. Par 5s are short. Par 3s are simple. There are a couple funky holes.

Overall great course in good shape. A little short for the longer player, but a great course for the average player. Rough needs a little attention.

Arrived early for lunch - We were told that they were running a little behind & 4 foursomes were ahead of us. Had lunch on the deck and watched 4 foursomes tee off. When we went to tee off we found out from several other players waiting that the 4 groups were from a Tournament that was supposed to tee off at 8 - but - didnt tee off until @ 9 so they were actually an hour behind and waiting for the last group to clear before any regular play could tee off. With the delay and cart path only rule it took over 3 hours to play and we ended up only playing 9 holes. This was very frustrating and the Proshop was not honest about the situation! Terrible experience!!

Enjoyable day on the course. We got there earlier than our tee time that we booked through GolfNow. They let us go out at that time which helped with our schedule that day. The course was in decent shape, and I'm sure it gets better as it was early in the season. The staff was very nice, and accommodating. We went in and had lunch in the clubhouse before leaving. Food was excellent, and once again the staff was very friendly.

Very playable course for all handicaps. Above average restaurant on site. Friendly and competent staff. The course is well maintained. A great golf value.

This golf course rewards accuracy! The tee boxes fairways and greens were all in very good shape. There are plenty of trees and water that will cause you problems if you get off line. The hills start on hole #4- very steeply uphill, then #5 is very steeply downhill. For the approach on #4, add at least two clubs to get up that hill. On the tee shot on #5, stay to the right side of the fairway or you may get to the lake on the left side at the bottom of the hill. On #6 stay as far left as you can on your tee shot so you can get around the trees on the right on your approach, and the fairway slopes severely left to right. On the par 5 #9, the fiarway gets very narrow close to the green, you might want to play your second shot short to keep it in play. Hole #11 should be easy if you stay left of the fairway bunkers on the right, but gets tough if you leave it out right. The par 5#14 is a great risk reward hole. Keeping it out of the trees on the right is imperative.

All in all a really fun course. Liked it so much we went back a few days later rather than finding a different course at the lake.

Very nice course with challenging layout. Greens in great shape and very challenging. Only issue .. would have been nice if maintenance staff focused efforts on blowing leaves off greens rather than tee boxes. Definitely play again.

I would recommend this course to other golfers

I have played here multiple times over the years and it is a treat every time. I have been fortunate to be able to play a lot of top courses in the country and this is still a must play when in the Ozarks. The creativity of the holes are great. The people are very nice and helpful.

One of my favorite golf courses, great layout, good restaurant, very friendly to Seniors and guest in a heavy tourist area.

Most courses in the Midwest tend to struggle with the heat and drought conditions of late August. The rough was in great shape and the fairways were perfect. I also enjoy the fact that the greens and bunkers were well taken care of. It was an enjoyable round of golf.

Beautiful layout through the mountainous terrain is both challenging and scenic. With exception of one green the course was in great shape. I look forward to playing it again.
