On back 9 Photo submitted by Lsj021 on 11/18/2012
Unfortunately it was a very hot, hot day ! I was unable to finish, and had to stop at hole# 8.
Will return on a more comfortable day.
Great condition for a mid-summer course
Love playing there. My partner and I met and played with two of Quarry Pines members. Had a great round with the two gentlemen. After the round we had an excellent lunch at the course restaurant.
Thanks, We’ll be back and let our Casa Grande golf buddies about our experience.
Fun round
Course is fun and has many unique and interesting holes Course was in good condition, especially considering its summertime in the desert.
only drawback is no driving range so warmup is limited to chipping and putting only
Layout
Beautiful layout. Very efficient check in. Very professional pro shop staff.
Quarry Pines Golf Day
Fantastic course in great condition! Fast pace if play and a really fun layout.
Quarry Pines in Late July
The course was in pretty good condition, considering the fact that it was late. July in the desert. They must do a pretty good job of keeping it up. Course was interesting and pretty tight on the back 9. We had fun.
A Few Issues
Tried to use a Golf Now gift certificate and was told they could not process the certificate. Question if the certificate, whom someone gifted to me, is worth the $100 they spent.
It had rained for two days prior to our playing and the course was cart path only. Challenging for this course as it is already a moderately difficult course.. Ponding water in the fairways added to the challenges. The day we played, having to stay on the cart path made this more work than play.
Very fun course
Incredibly fun course to play. The front 9 is easier than most courses in Tucson in my opinion. But the back nine is definitely challenging and truly unique. I play this course probably more than any other one.
I love the layout
This is one of my favorite courses in the tucson area. Unique & challenging. Fairways were in great shape. Some of the tee boxes were a little rough and the greens were in decent shape and rolled true, but not too fast.
Beautiful but difficult
If you can’t control your golf ball you’re in for a long day because on many holes there is simply no where to miss. Pull, push, hook or slice and you’re dropping a new ball. I would rate the course conditions higher but the Bermuda greens while necessary in the summer are really uneven. The breakfast sandwich before the round was delicious, huge and reasonably priced. Play it in the winter and you’ll enjoy your day.
Only reason for the four stars is that they have no practice facility to warm up prior to playing.
Nice Layout and friendly staff
This track one of the best in Tucson. It’s up there with Starr Pass and Omni. The course staff super friendly and kind. Didn’t know that in order to cancel a player. I needed to call the course. So the club house waived the cancellation for the one player. That’s excellent customer service.
Challenging
Bring your A game or a sense of humor and a bunch of golf balls. On most of the holes there is simply no where to miss. A bad swing doesn’t mean a difficult next shot it means you need a new ball. However it has some beautiful holes and keeps drawing us back to play. The breakfast sandwich before the round was very reasonably priced, delicious and huge.
Sand bunkers
I know that they are finally getting the bunkers finished but it was a long time waiting
