About
del Lago Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, enjoying a temperature that is five degrees cooler than Tucson in the summer, which makes a big difference under the hot Arizona sun. Winding through the hills and valleys of the high desert, the golf course features over 120 feet of elevation changes that present tricky uneven lies. The dramatic undulations also offer beautiful views of the Rincon and Santa Catalinas Mountain ranges. Golfers start at the highest point on the course and then play down into the valley before getting to the back nine, which plays along the Pantano Wash. The first hole is the only forced carry on the course, the remaining holes are friendlier off the tees. Seven lakes dot the golf course, coming into play on six holes, and there is also heavy bunkering around the greens.

Del Lago
The course has just opened after over seeding and is in very good to excellent shape. The sand traps remain an issue as they are rather firm to hard and very rocky. Really need some good draining beach sand.

Fun course
Course in good shape for getting prepared to overseed.. Staff does a good job of running course however due to a large group playing later in the day, my son and I could sense a bit of unfriendliness. . The ranger was watching our foursome quite a bit. We did finish the first 9 holes in 2 hours . Now if we did finish 9 holes in over 2.3 hours I would understand the feedback. Many golfers did list the layout as challenging in reviews and 90 degree rule was in play. Still a fun course to play.

Difficult beauty
The course is really pretty and challenging. Course management is a must. Only issue is many bunkers just don’t have enough sand.

Accuracy Counts
Course in good condition with greens running a little slower than I remember. The course requires good shot making and most importantly thinking about the shot you need to make.

OK value for your dollar
Very nice layout, makes you think and hit some good shots, but doesn't beat you up. Biggest disappointment, which is typical for public courses anymore, is the bunkers are barren rock patches.
Great staff, great clubhouse bar and restaurant.

Fun to play, great views, greens in great shape!
Course in good shape, though a little dry in spots. Greens in excellent condition. Interesting layout, lots of rolling hills, beautiful mountain views. Several water features, but easy enough for even a novice like me! Traps had little to no sand, so playing out of them wasn't terribly hard.
I would say a very good course for a novice or intermediate player, and I ended up being paired with a couple of nice guys ad hoc, and had an excellent day!
