About
del Lago Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, enjoying a temperature that is five degrees cooler than Tucson in the summer, which makes a big difference under the hot Arizona sun. Winding through the hills and valleys of the high desert, the golf course features over 120 feet of elevation changes that present tricky uneven lies. The dramatic undulations also offer beautiful views of the Rincon and Santa Catalinas Mountain ranges. Golfers start at the highest point on the course and then play down into the valley before getting to the back nine, which plays along the Pantano Wash. The first hole is the only forced carry on the course, the remaining holes are friendlier off the tees. Seven lakes dot the golf course, coming into play on six holes, and there is also heavy bunkering around the greens.

Play it!
It never disappoints. “Starter’s” sense of humor was a bonus!! Played as a twosome and foursome let us play through on #10 so we clocked in at 3.25 hrs. I think we were the beneficiaries of cloudy weather cancellations. 🤷 GREAT DAY!
Only minus was restaurant was short staffed and wait time for drinks and utensils in order to eat our meal, which came quickly, was quite concerning. I think they had an issue back stage or???

Rain heck or lack of!!!
Very disappointed the last time we played. Weather looked good to start and before we finished front 9 it started to storm with lightning!! When we requested a rain check, they informed us , it was not the policy!! I have never run across this in all my years and courses I have played at!! It still leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I always tell this story when people ask me about Del Lago!! How unfortunate that you have adopted this policy!!!

Course is in good condition, staff is very accommodating and friendly. Restaurant is also good. Mia is awsome at cart service.

Del Lago: A treasure in Vail
Great track! Can be a bit slow in the mornings due to difficulty in shots so I recommend playing in the afternoon.

Del Lago
This was my first time making it to Del Lago and I gotta say what was I waiting for! I usually play starr pass and el conquistador but this is going to make it into my rotation. True desert style course with ample challenging tee shots. The architect knows how to play some tricks on you visually and I love it. Amazing conditions and awesome greens too. Nice and fast!

Great Layout
Course was in good condition but bunkers and cart paths very bad .

Just Like I Left It
I used to play this course when I lived in Tucson 7 years ago. I know the course had some tough times with turf management and maintaining the desert. But the course is back! The greens were fast, the fairways nice and green, and the desert was well maintained around the fairways and greens. The staff could not be any friendlier. Beautiful views and a really fun track

Bunkers are horrendous!
They say bunkers will be redone but never happens. Just pull ball out and play from grass. It’s the only way to keep your sanity. One shot into a former sand trap creates a bad experience and wipes out any chance at a good day.

Course Maintenance Recently Completed
This has always been a favorite course to play. Greens were a little slow and bumpy, but should improve. Tee boxes and fairways were were in good shape. Pace of play was a little sloiw and could improve.
