del Lago Golf Club
About
del Lago Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, enjoying a temperature that is five degrees cooler than Tucson in the summer, which makes a big difference under the hot Arizona sun. Winding through the hills and valleys of the high desert, the golf course features over 120 feet of elevation changes that present tricky uneven lies. The dramatic undulations also offer beautiful views of the Rincon and Santa Catalinas Mountain ranges. Golfers start at the highest point on the course and then play down into the valley before getting to the back nine, which plays along the Pantano Wash. The first hole is the only forced carry on the course, the remaining holes are friendlier off the tees. Seven lakes dot the golf course, coming into play on six holes, and there is also heavy bunkering around the greens.

Del Lago is great!
We played on a cool, sunny day with no wind! Love this course! It isn't easy! Beautiful fairways and generous greens in great shope! A real value for the money! I recommend this course!

Great Course
Had a great time nothing could of made it better!!
Wonderful
What a treat on a beautiful day for golf. Couldn't be upset in spite of not bringing my A game. It was not the course's fault. Loved every moment out there. Every hole is unique and a challenging pleasure. What a great day!
5some ruins timely golf round
My wife & I enjoy playing this course but unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon if ever.
We travel from Green Valley to play here 40-45 minute drive. first 8 holes were fine pace of play then we started having to wait on every shot. from 9th hole on. At 11 we went to jump ahead a couple holes,. We stopped to talk with the group in front of us to find out the 5some they caught up to at 7 & the group in front of them all seemed to know each other and were playing skins game (slowly) and not caring about groups behind them. We never saw a marshal one time on our round. I don't think that was by accident. Tuesday saw the marshal 5 to 7 times during 18 holes. To top it off after our round I went inside to use the restroom. 5 men were standing in the middle of the foyer, only 1 and myself were wearing a mask (I don't like wearing a mask either but it's something that needs to be done for now). I realizing that the course will never be top tier because of pore management and that's a shame because it's a nice golf course.
We have choices all around Tucson area play and to make that drive for slow play will not happen again.
del Lago is gorgeous again!
It's been years since I last played this course and, quite honestly, it wasn't in good condition then at all. Which is why we stopped playing here. Fast forward three or four years to yesterday...it was gorgeous! The new grounds crew has done a fabulous job returning this course to near perfection. The greens were incredible. They held shots easily and rolled true and smooth. No bumps, no hops. It was such a pleasure to putt greens like this!!! We were all amazed at how nice this course is again, which is really good because it's such a great track. Lots of fun!
Del Lago g.c.
It's a bit of drive east on I-10 from Tucson but so worth taking the time to play go play it.
The staff on the course was very friendly.
My wife & i both enjoyed this golf course.
Great selection in tee boxes to choose from, forced carries off some of the the tees, fairways in good condition & great fast greens.
the only area that really that needs addressing is the sand traps.
Good amount of pebbles and need for more sand. Some were left completely abandoned (very unappealing). Turn them into grass bunkers instead of leaving them as a big eye sore on the course.
We will definitely be playing this course multiple times in the future. If the sand traps get some serious attention instead of just left abandoned this course could be a solid top ten in the Tucson area.
I would never claim to be a great golfer but I do know a good course when I see/play one. This course is close to becoming a great one.
Very nice course with greens a little on the faster side. It took time to get used to them but still fair. The course was well layed out and very scenic. Be sure to pick the correct tee blocks for your skill level. The Tee Off price was amazing for the Quality of this course.
Pay attention to distance. Course knowledge is helpful.
Great course except cart path only
I drive 30 miles to play this course and have always fully enjoyed all about it. The course did not have communication with Teej-Off (per Tee-Off) regarding cart path only. While I finished my round, it was difficult do to all the walking required.. I will play course again but will always check with course regarding cart restrictions.
Good deal
Except for being cart path only this is a great course to play.
Great....
Course looks great !!! Greens just cut but rolled great!!! Cart path only right now but it’s ok. Loved it
A Great Layout
The course is getting ready to shut down for aeration and over seeding, and some preliminary work was noticeable. Tee boxes were rough, but OK. Fairways were in good condition and maintaining good lies. Greens were a little slow with some work needed. Bunkers were not in good shape with a lot of mud pan lies and plenty of small rocks evident. Overall the course layout is one of the best around making shot making a priority in order to score. This is a great golf course and well worth playing. ,
