Great layout, homes are set back from the course so you don't feel like a stray shot will break a window. Very good value, course in very good shape, Only negative was it was COLD and VERY WINDY. It was supposed to be 60 in Tucson when we played, and at noon it was 48 at the course, and felt like 25 mph winds. Made for a tough day. Not their fault of course, but sign in pro shop said "no wind refunds" so kind of get the idea those winds are somewhat typical.

Del Lago has been one of my favorite Tucson-area golf courses for around 30 years. Year in and year out, the conditions are good. Plus the design is great- interesting holes that meander through desert canyons, with great variety and no bad holes. I think DL hosts fewer golfers that most Tucson golf courses, but that means it's a little easier to get a tee time, prices are a bit lower, and the pace is a little better.

The winter and summer rates are excellent- IMHO the best value in the Tucson area for one of the best courses.

The only hole i would tweak (if they ever have the $$) is 18- the water features on that hole are a bit cheesy and out of place in such a dry environment. My recommendation would be to turn it into some sort of desert feature and save the $$ from evaporation and pumping.

Play Del Lago if you visit Tucson! you probably won't regret it.

The course was in really good shape with the exception of the bunkers. It’s a fun golf course to play because of the layout. Makes you use your head and manage your way around it.

Fun to play, has a few challenging holes. Decent driving range too. Prices are reasonable.

Our tee time was 1pm. We asked if we were paired with anyone, and were told that we were not paired. There was a single behind us, and we asked if he could join us. He did join us, and we teed off on time with three players. There was a twosome in front of us, and a foursome in front of them. We had to wait on every hole. Then we were pushed from behind. At one point a ranger informed us that a group ahead of us was only playing 9 holes, so things should open up on the back 9. That did not happen. As a matter of fact, on the 10th hole, a single pulled up behind us. We asked him if he would like to join us, but he did not want to. So, we continued to wait on the tee box, while being pushed from the single and a foursome behind him. On about the 12th hole, we allowed the single to “play through,” to then be waiting on him and the foursome in front of him, and we were hit into from the foursome behind us. I would have enjoyed the course so much more if they had not stacked us up one on top of the other. I will also be calling the course to let them know.

Today was very windy and cool, but it was still very enjoyable since the course was in such good shape. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were nicely over seeded. The bunkers are in fair shape ( many stones)

Course in nice condition, especially the greens, which were receptive but also rolled nicely. Pin placements seemed a little too much on slopes and ridges. Always a fun layout to play.

Always a treat to tee it up at a course where every hole is different with changes in elevation and direction required. No hole is easy and every one requires thinking as to pin accessibility. Good luck and enjoy the day but remember that the most important rule i golf is to keep up with the group in front of you.

Several holes on the course require knowledge of the layout, or what you believe to be a good shot ends up in hidden water.

Must have been a skins game in front of us as pace of play was horrible. Waited on every box. Time of the round was approximately 5 hours.

This can be a trickey course and a learning experience for all types of golfers the greens are nice and not all beat up the fairways are green and not brown or all dirt the staff are helpful and give tips to playing certain holes i will play recomend this course to any golfer looking for a challenge
