Gorgeous views, great condition
Course was extremely busy, but we got there early as a twosome and they got us in 2 hrs early with another twosome. Managed to finish the course before dark. Great day, course was spectacular. Elevated greens, tee boxes, greens were very fast, just tap putts, ondulating greens.Fairways wide open but rolling hills.
Fun but Challenging
It was a fun course but was very challenging as well. Don't get stuck in the rough, it is very deep and a challenge to get out of. Other than that the course was in great shape played well and was beautiful with all around stunning views.
Great great great
Only down side no range on the course. I (we) will play here again in a heart beat.
Great
Outstanding in all dimensions. To be revommended...
High Altitude Golf At Its Finest
Played Coyote Moon in July. Club house staff was very friendly. They have newer model rental clubs (was on vacation). The course was in perfect shape, tee box to green. Don't pass up the chance to play here and don't forget to soak up the amazing views!
Scenic, manicured beauty on every hole
Extreme slow play ruined most of the fun and satisfaction. But golf now was able to save considerable expense. My playing partner took many photos since the mountain course has plenty of gorgeous holes. It is resort golf
So expect slow play
Great setting for a golf course.
The golf course was excellent. Has a couple of quirky holes. But thanks to the Starter and another Marshall, they gave me a head's up. Their advise was on the money! Also nice to play at altitude. Course was in tournament shape! Great job guys, I will be back. I have already told several friends back home. My only negative; I showed up early because the girls went shopping. When I checked in, I admitted that I was way early. But to not let me off earlier than my tee time. I thought was not very cordial. I had to wait more than 60 minutes. There were 2 groups that teed off 30 minutes apart:(
Great
Defiantly would play again, if I got the same deal. Worth the price I got though. A hidden gem.
Best course in Tahoe
Have played this course several times. Every hole is beautiful. Challenging enough if you miss the fairways. Greens roll true. Take the views in and don't worry about pace of play. For the money, I recommend this course over the more well known courses in the Tahoe area.
From the time you arrive to the time you leave this course shows nothing but excellence.
If you are looking for a memorable experience in golf in the Sierra's/ Tahoe Reno nothing could be better. Course is pristine. To the point I didn't see a broken tee in the tee box. Accurate drives are a must as this is mountain golfing at it's best. The environment is superb because you are golfing in the wilderness. Not a house power pole in sight. You end up loosing yourself while being immersed by nature. Plenty of slope greens that are large and sloping which means you need to stay on top of your game but not so demanding that it's bothersome. All in all this was probably the best golfing experience I have ever had. I highly recommend this course for any golfer's bucket list because if you pass it by you will never know what you are missing.
Great course!
This course is my favorite in the Reno area, albeit a little expensive.
Awesome track
Coyote Moon is a spectacularly beautiful course. With the charming city of Truckee , it's a great get away course.
My Favorite
This course is definitely my favorite. It has a great design offering a challenge to any golfer. The condition of the course is immaculate. Staff is very friendly. They offer a delicious beer bratwurst which is a nice change of pace to my usual hot dog or polish dog at the turn. As great as all that is, there is nothing that can compare to the beauty of the course and surroundings. I found myself not caring as much about my game as I did taking in the visual beauty of the course. What I really like is that each hole carves it's way through the trees up and down the mountainside. There are magnificent boulders on fairways and green-side that are as big as houses. Creeks and ponds that duck in and out of play. It is more like being on a day hike around Tahoe than playing golf. It's certainly not inexpensive to play there, but I can honestly say it's well worth the price. The only blemish this place has in my mind is that they don't have a driving range. But they do have a little net set up near the parking lot where you can warm up and hit balls into. I just wish they had a full range to warm up on and play your best. But I like this course so much, I can forgive that.

What a great course !
We played this on Thursday before they were closing for the season on Sat. and other than them aerating a fairway the course was pristine. If you have not had the chance to play this gem of the Sierras you need to put this on your bucket list.
beautiful and challenging
Course is in a beautiful setting with great visuals on every hole. It is challenging but fair. One of my favorite courses in the USA and the best in Tahoe.
It's all in the putting......
The practice green is a fair indication of the not so subtle difficultly of the actual greens. A fair course, with few blind shots, and nicely maintained fairways and fast greens. 6,211 Yards from the whites, and 5,022 from the forward tees. The harsh 2012 cold winter with little snow produced rough conditions well into mid July - the same for all other Tahoe courses. It would be nice if there was an alternative to the hitting nets for warming up, but with such short season probably a budget breaker. Overall an enjoyable day, and friendly ProShop.
Stunning course set in the Sierras
This course was in amazing shape. For a mountain course not very many uneven lies. Greens were in great shape. Very tough to hold the greens. Very fast putting conditions with some tough hole placements.
Beautiful course with no homes on it to give you a real remote feel
Great views. Course is challenging enough but not so hard that you feel degraded when done. I am a 17 hc and shot accordingly. I love that there are no homes right on the course to take away from the natural beauty.
Fantastic course
Coyote Moon was an amazing experience. Perfect playing conditions, excellent views, great signature hole, just a fun round...
Pricey, but well worth it. Sometimes you pay a bunch for a round and feel ripped off...not at CM. After we finished I would have gladly paid to play another 18.
As a side note - i love seeing wildlife on the course and this place lived up to its billing. we stood no more than 10 feet away as a coyote made a meal out of a squirrel. plus a huge Buck, giant falcon and the craziest looking chipmunks. like a zoo at the course.
