Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Nice course
The grass was in very good shape considering hot dry AZ summer. The greens had been aerated last week but were in pretty fair shape already.
The greens were amazing but
Shouldn't have played cuz it just rained the night before but there were several holes that you couldn't see the water puddles in front of the greens or down the fairway Lost several balls in the water that doesn't have water there normally I wish they would have been marked to least know where we're not to hit also no ranger or starter and everybody was piling up so I just started asking everybody to pull out their tickets cuz it was packed every hole had one to two groups on it I just shouldn't have played but it's a great little course but the putting was excellent because of the greens were immaculate
Fun with my boys
Played with my grandson my son and my nephew. Had a great round. Course is beautiful.
Fun course
First the little things: Buckets of water to wet your towel at the 1st and 10th holes. Cooler on the cart filled with ice for your water bottles on a super hot day. Very friendly staff in the pro shop and cart area. These little things add up to a big plus for an executive course.
Now the big things: The grass on the course is in great condition, better than most courses this summer. The greens roll kind of slow, but the grass is good and the ball rolls true. The pace was great since there was no one on the course except me and another guy I saw near the end of my round. For an executive course it has plenty of challenges, with some long par 3s and par 4s from 300-355 yards.
Worth playing if you’re a beginner or a lower handicap.
Greens
Very nice, but like most courses fairways have a couple of grassless areas, but it's a great little course, and it's not a push over
Great beginner and confidence booster course
This course is great based on what it is advertised as. It’s for beginners or just someone who needs a little confidence booster with their short game. Fairways are in a lot better shape than a lot of higher end courses. The greens have some damage due to beginners playing and not knowing etiquette.
Bear Creek Cub
Have played many times, a fine executive course generally in good shape. We were surprised there wasn’t any drink carts selling drinks on a 100+ degree day.
Great beginner course
Bright my son and his friends here for a round. Great for beginners and good short game practice for more experienced players. Friendly staff, good food in the club house.
