Sunbird Golf Resort
About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Course fairways and greens
Fairway seems to be a little tight right now. A lot of grass. It hasn't come back during the plugging and overseeding but there's no rain in this town. The greens were pretty decent and they put the flag where you wouldn't be going across anything. Bad hole 10 was the worst though. They should just skip that hole so they can get it together and come back when it's better and just come back and play another hole or or that one's tough. This course is one of my favorites and it's always been taken care of. This looks like something happened in the dirt and the grass but I will always go back there. It's good people and great course. I think they're just having some summer time blues
Good morning at SunBird
Course was in good condition with summer browning in a few spots. Grounds crew was active and doing the best to keep things 👀 my good. Pace was slower than average and the foursome in front seemed oblivious to our group waiting on nearly every tee box. Plenty of other courses around where pace is watched. No starter or player assistance of any kind. Summer golf needs to move along and not take four plus hours.
Love this course!
One of our favorites for playing a quick 18, fun challenging course in good condition.
Always A Good Time at SunBird
Sunbird is our favorite course in AZ. It’s easy enough for beginners yet challenging for seasoned players. The staff is always friendly and pace of play is consistent. Not sure how their greens are so well kept but keep up the good work!
Said play
The first nine was great. Then after 10th hole there was a huge bottleneck of 3 groups that made us stop playing. It appeared they didn’t know anything about golf etiquette or were just terrible players
In Transition
Course has a lot of bare spots in the fairways, as well as maintenance. Still a decent course for the price.
Great Staff
The staff was great, especially the ranger keeping the course flowing smoothly. Course was in good condition, some challenging holes. Plenty of opportunities for property damage.
Best Value Course
Sunbird is the perfect non-championship course where you get to use every club in your bag, but not kill yourself trying to get through a 7000+ yard course. Perfect for the mid to high handicap players like myself to work on things and a great spot to bring some new to the game, just be sure to keep up pace of play.
The course is pretty much always in great conditions and the greens are great, even in the summer. The value for the cost is probably the best in the entire East valley.
Great!
Love this course and can sometimes give you some challenges but fun!
