About
The Highlands Course is probably the more stimulating of the two tracks at Wildcat GC, offering better views of the city, natural wetlands and grasses, and some intriguing flat sand bunkers. Case must have an affinity for the No. 7, because like the Lakes track, the 421-yard, par 4 hole 7 is the most difficult rated hole. Watch out for the par 5s on this one, three of which play at or above 570 yards from the tips.
Getting there : From downtown take Hwy. 288 south for 5 miles to Loop 610. Head west and find the Fannin exit, where you'll U-turn under 610 and drive east on the access road to Almeda Rd. Turn right on Almeda and the course is 3 miles further.

Good Course Conditions
All aspects of the course were in very good condition, except for the bunkers. Cart girl was friendly & visible. The only negative to mention was the Grumpy, Unfriendly starter. Why is it so difficult to be Nice? Despite Mr. Bad Attitude, we enjoyed the course play & it was nice to see cold water on every station box.
Best Course in Houston!
Love both the Highlands and the Lakes
Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a high quality course without the hike out to the burbs
Nice Tough Course
The highlands course had nice scenery. The greens were well kept, consistent, and pretty fast. This course presented some issues for a higher handicap golfer as there are many holes where you have to clear thick brush. You have to be a pretty straight hitter to keep it in play. Not a forgiving course layout. Hit em straight and long. Overall, good experience.
The course is short but challenging. The lay out is nice .Some blind shots and a lot of up hill shots.
The topography of the course makes it different than most of the other courses in the Houston area.
From the top of some of these holes, you can see the hole sky line of the city of Houston. Very nice.

Fun course
Awesome facility. Fun course and very challenging if you never been there cause of the blind shots.

The course was in great shape and had lots of unique holes. Well designed. I didn’t know Houston had so much elevation!
Favorite course in Houston area
Greens are fast and consistent. My favorite thing about the course is it’s not the cheapest place to play. Drunken hacker will probably have a better time losing their balls at a cheaper course with all the other slow players so they don’t feel pressure. Given there’s actually 2 courses here on top of that, the players are spread out pretty well and the pace is amazing. Pace...my favorite thing about this course. Wait, that’s second to their fairways and greens. Well kept and very nice.

Need to add a couple of informational yardage signs on a few tee boxes where holes have run offs into unplayable areas.
