Wolf Creek Golf Course
About
Since 2001 Wolf Creek has earned a reputation as one of the toughest golf tracks in the Atlanta Metro area. Wolf Creek boasts a 7028 yard par 72 championship layout with bent grass greens which is just one of the reasons Golf Digest selected Wolf Creek as the best course near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. The Mike Young Designs course incorporates both low flatlands holes, bordering many wetland areas, and holes with dramatic elevation changes. Wolf Creek has four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. A practice range and practice green allow for serious work on your golf game or just a warm-up before your round.

Aeration
The T boxes were excellent and the fareways very pristreen. However they had just aerated the greens so greens were only sand. So didn't get true roll when putting. No one was bringing drink cart around. Did nit see any water coolers around the course. Was very warm out. Drinks in clubhouse were very expensive. They did not sell beer either.
Sandy beach on the greens
Booked on Golf Now previous day, but was not informed of aeration and only nine holes available. Received an email the morning of my round as I got dressed to go play. The email informed me of the aeration, but it didn't inform me about the nine holes only. Not sure if to blame the course itself or Golf Now because once at the course they did have a sign up stating the dates of aeration and course availability. All in all someone dropped the ball making this for one bad attempt to have a good playing a round of golf.
Compliments
Denise was very hospitable for the QueTour golf tournament. She took great care providing drinks and anything needed. Thank You!
Value for the Money Spent, But So Much More Potential
Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference when playing a course and that was the case for me.
I really like the layout at Wolf Creek, it is challenging but there were some things that made me question whether to return anytime soon.
First, the range was mats only. Not a big deal to me, except that the mats should have been thrown out a year ago. Don't know what 10 new mats would cost, but it would be worth it.
How can a course miss something so obvious?? Do they even care?? Has the owner or GM not noticed this??
If You are not familiar with the course, getting from several greens to the next tee will be confusing. Some holes had printed signs, some had spray painted signs and some had nothing. Even getting from the tee to the fairway is a guessing game on a couple of holes.
Again, very minimal investment that is not being made.
About 4-5 greens had large bare spots, not sure what caused that. A couple of tee boxes had very little grass and a couple more needed to be mowed. How can some tee boxes be mowed, but others randomly missed?
Course is cashless, not a big deal but had to walk back to my cart to grab my debit card to pay $3.50 for a bottle of water. Except for the starter, most of the staff seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else. No real restaurant or bar area that I saw. Pick your drinks from a cooler, then walk to another room to pay.
Thought the fairways were in good shape, for the most part. Greens putted well, but were firm and didn't hold high shots very well. GPS for distances was a big plus!
I will look to return at some point, but will look to the reviews before I do. Some TLC from ownership would go a long way at Wolf Creek.
Decent but more enjoyable courses to play for the money
The greens are in good condition. However, the fairways are average at best, requiring some extra precision in shots.
The course features a mix of short holes with blind shots and long holes with peculiar yardages off the tee, making club selection a bit of a puzzle. Holes 8, 17, and 18 stand out with their long forced carries on second shots after being forced to club down off the tee.
While there are some basic straight holes, the overall layout feels a bit disjointed and unconventional. It's not necessarily unfun, but it lacks an enjoyable flow. Overall, it's a decent course for those seeking a challenge, but don't expect a traditional or seamless golfing experience.
Downtown Diamond
Great course near downtown Atlanta. Despite all the rain, the course was in fantastic shape. Challenging for all levels of play. Excellent value for the money.
Improvement Needed
Course is hard to navigate from green to next tee…poor signage. Tee boxes are in need of major maintenance. Fairways and greens are in fair condition…some bare places and frequently need to move your ball to grass in the fairways. However, it’s a fun course if you’re not playing a competive round and agree to lift and place to reasonable lies.
The Wolf was howling!!
The course is in good shape, I'm looking for a permanent home course as I'm new to Georgia. Fairways are in good shape I love how it test your ability to make shots. Greens are consistent that's all a weekend worrie can ask for, the tee boxes need some love. Thank you to the young ladies in the pro shop who made me feel welcome ( 697 lol )! I will be back...they need a membership program.
I thought the course was in fantastic shape bunkers had plenty of sand greens were smooth and rolled well somewhat fast. The carts are newer and very updated. Tee boxes are nice and flat. This was my first time playing here and I can’t stop telling my friends about it I would definitely come back
Potential
Wow. This could be a private golf course just about anywhere. Unfortunately the tea boxes are really really beat up and the fairways aren’t too bad and what makes it is of course the greens! The layout is exceptional in some areas and an afterthought and others I think initially this was a $150 course when they first opened so worth it now!
Fun day our at wolf creek in atlanta
Course layout was good...conditions where good...greens ran good and true...pass of play was a bit slow
WOLK CREEK IS BACK
Thanks to management and Andre for bringing a phenomenal course back 🙏❤️⛳️🏌🏾♂️
Good Early Spring Round
Course needs to improve the tee boxes and fairways; greens in pretty good condition. Course requires a 150 yard carry over a hazard midway on a par 5 which is nearly impossible for ladies. Course needs directional signs to next tee boxes for first time players. Otherwise, it is playable and fun for all handicap players by picking the correct tee.
