Poor management
All this course needs is some better management and groundskeeping & id be willing to pay $45/ round. They have 12 working golf carts currently.
perfect day to play golf
The Young lady checking people in can use a touching up on customer service, nice, and welcoming. I had my friend with me and the seat ripped pretty bad and I asked could I have another people my feamale didnt want to sit on that she asked "What's wrong with that" I told her and she paused and I had to say will just use one ot the 5 that was sitting there.
Shame on the city of Atlanta
City of Atlanta, please do your part and provide an appropriate allotment of working golf carts to your municipal golf courses. I had an 8:20am tee time, and the nice starter/office gentleman said I might have to walk! I did the get the last working cart, but the foursome behind me, who paid for carts had to walk! This should not be acceptable to the city decision makers. Zero amenities at this course, so bring your own hydration. Even the ball washers didn't have water. Very nice people working there. C'mon Atlanta. You're better than this. Greens and course were in OK (1.5) condition at best.
Needs Updated
Great course for what you play. Challenging, best if you keep in fairway, otherwise in the fridge or ruff good luck finding ball even within 2 feet of you.
Old man walking
I thought I had scored a deal for $16 plus tax, until I checked in and was informed that I would be walking. I wasn't the only surprised golfer that day. It must have been 95* at our tee time. Needless to say I and others did not complete the 18 holes. I probably would not have made reservations if WALKIng ONLY was made big and bold on the site. I like playing Tup, but not walking in 90* weather.
A great course
A great course for the money! The only mistake I made was missing out on the number of carts versus walking. We attempted to walk the course but it was so hot it felt more like a scene from the Walking Dead! We will definitely play it again!
Carts and cart paths are in really bad shape
Not enough carts and the ones they have are in really bad shape. The course is decent. The person handling the clubhouse is not very helpful. Skip this place if you can
Just Spend A Little Money on the Course
Love this track because we played it a lot when we were high school/College. Historic war site just makes the place cool.
Carts- terrible. They get you around the course but that is it.
Tee Boxes- a few are decent, but most need new sod and water. We pay no attention to the tee markers and hit where there is grass.
Fairways- some are pretty good. Many have bare spots in certain places and very rough around the cart paths etc. Again, I just move my ball to real grass and hit a golf shot. It’s a must on some holes.
Greens- most are good and a few have some rough sections. When cut they run at 11. They are mostly small which is pretty cool and provide a good test.
Bunkers- they mostly suck snd have concrete under the sand. Why, I have no idea. Always check and move your ball if needed. Some I just move the ball out and hit. So don’t go in them.
Price - GN can’t beat it.
So, if you can just relax, not worry about playing a pure round and enjoy the day you will have fun. If you are pure about the rules don’t go. You will be frustrated.
To The City- spend some money and fix the place up.
