My favorite golf course. Best price, best staff. Tough greens. Pretty easy course to teach my friends the game.

There wasn’t one tee box with grass on it. They were all completely dirt. At 6 pm (with an hour of daylight left) Staff drove onto green that we were approaching and blocked us with a golf cart. They yelled and cussed at us saying carts had to be in at 6. So we picked up our balls and drove back to the cart barn only to have the cart guy cuss at us for not getting our trash (we had 2 bottles of water and a zyn can) out ourselves. Just a complete crap show and one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had on a golf course… and I play golf 1-3 times a week. The course layout is actually pretty neat but the sandboxes on the tee box and the world’s worst staff made it the worst golf experience I’ve ever had.

Course is horrible. No range, bad greens, horrible lay out. Nice staff and cool people on the course, but there’s so many better options within 10 miles. Unless your just looking to get out for a cheap round and don’t care about course conditions I do not recommend!

The course is fun to play and has some challenging and memorable holes. However ALL the tees need to be resodded and some of the fairways are in poor shape. The greens however are in good shape.

We are right at the golf course around 150 after we arrived. We went to the clubhouse and waited for about 20 minutes we were told that all the cops were out and if we waited on a cot and went out that it probably wouldn’t make the 18 holes so they recommended that we get a rain check or refund I paid for the teetimes with GolfNow. I’ve been trying to get in touch with you all to make arrangements to get a refund .

Enjoyed playing the course after many years. Not much has changed except that they are really busy now. Greens are ok and could be better on a couple of holes. Trees blocking the greens. Most every tee box needs some love. I recommend to staff to change tee boxes to zoysia grass. Hence the renovation. As busy as they are care should and must be given to the tee boxes. Till them and replant zoysia grass. Bermuda is not the answer. Zeon or something else. Do a couple test tee boxes and see which one works best. It’s a shame to see such a gem of a course suffer like that. Many other courses have mixed grasses and there are no issues.

Really fast greens and hard to chip on them. Great value for Saturday morning on Atl.

Tee boxes need some help.

This is a fun course with several challenging holes. It’s short but tight in spots.

The hills make it challenging and the greens have some slope to them.

I enjoyed this round. The greens are Bermuda but they putted nicely.

A few bare spots on the tees, but fairways were vice and greens were mostly good.

A great value.

This is the kind of track I want to play. Some wide open fairways, some narrow. Some drastic elevation changes. A par 3 guarded by bunkers... All in all a pretty forgiving course, not a ton of places to lose your ball in the water, I was only in a bunker once. However I waved bye to a half dozen balls that I sliced into majestic trees that line the right OB on 4 or 5 holes. Safe to say this course favors those who hit a fade. I'm sure people's criticism of Holmes is that it could be nicer. If you keep it on the fairway, it's B+ conditions, but in the thick rough and near the cart paths and stuff there's a decent chance you'll be hitting off wispy earth or eroded Georgia clay. Tee boxes could be flatter. But, again, for the price, it's a great value and doesn't diminish the experience for me. Sure they could hire more people and use more water and chemicals but then the price would go up. And I love having some accessible, affordable, full size golf courses in the A. Can't wait to play again

Love the value for money here. Pretty decent course and for that price you can’t lose.

Green’s and course conditions were absolutely horrible. Need to have a 50% discount. And, a sign saying we have neglected to maintain the course.

Cut clumps of grass everywhere fairway and rough. Weeds in greens. Growth of out of control weed pods scattered throughout the greens. Greens bumpy and un cut. Sprinkler system leaks throughout the course #1, #2,/broken and soaked , #5 water around green, #9 ,12…. Dead trees in fairway on #2,, #5. Very little distinction between fairway. rough and green side apron and green. Bunkers unkept….. A neglected mess.

Maintenance employees riding around on equipment t principally rising or giving attention to mowing areas where no one plays off #8 fairway, on side of #11 green and #18 tee box.

JUST TERRIBLE PAID FOR EXPERIENCE ! TERRIBLE MANAGERIAL LEADERSHIP

Waited 1.5 hours after slotted tee time to get a cart and play, no marshal to manage pace of play.
