I wanted to like this course given the friendly staff and no frills way of check-in, tee off, and cart return. But grass coverage was minimal on fairways and greens in October, when most courses are at their prime. Rolling terrain and ancient trees made the track a visual delight. But needs a much larger maintenance budget.

Surrounded by beautiful forests, this is one of my favorite courses. You have to play wide variety of shots… some fairways and greens are elevated, and on other holes the trees are elevated. And the course challenges you to hit some draws and some fades. The greens are not in excellent condition always, but it doesn’t take much away from this wonderful course. Heck, I’m playing tomorrow.

I have played this course for over 10 years and NEVER had such a RUDE person at the desk. All year the staff has been pleasant and friendly, but this new lady is a TERRIBLE ambassador for AET and the City of Atlanta. I understand now why several friends say they will never be back while she is there. Also, to have 20+ carts in the barn and NONE working is pathetic. The course is in horrible condition compared to a month ago. WAKE UP CITY OF ATLANTA!!!!

A little rough on a couple of holes, some greens have sand, course opens up throughout and has lots of challenging features. Overall great price for 18 (28$ for Tuesday Tee Time)

Historic course with a good test of golf skills. Great par fives the par fours are challenging. The par threes no joke.

I guess you pay for what you get. Cheapest course I’ve played at and it speaks for itself. Halfway through they were aerating the greens so we had to keep skipping over and couldn’t finish the hole. They later then came up and told us that the front desk was supposed to tell everyone that the front 9 was closed. Didn’t even bother to let us know ahead of time so wasted my time and money. It was at the point that there were parts of the fairway that was closed off or the grass was too tall so I stopped counting my strokes. It’s more of a “practice course” than an actual one. Will NOT be back

Second time playing in 2 wks. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, heavy rain night before required cart path only and some puddles on the fairways. Recently aerated so greens didn’t roll true, but should improve for late summer/fall play

Will definitely play again in a few wks.

Folks here are rude. Front desk staff needs extra training on etiquette.

We teed off at 12:51 for our 12:09 tee time, after waiting for half dead carts and being behind a 12:54 group somehow who was sent out before us. Cart 1 died at hole 9 and was swapped out then cart 2 died at 17 and was swapped out and then our front bald tire gave out on our replacement cart. The staff is friendly and tries to appease everyone but need to invest in fixing the 14 carts that are parked in the shed needing batteries and other various work. Course is not in bad shape and an enjoyable layout. Maybe just spend the extra $20 for another course.

Most fairways are starting to show some grass but with a lot of bare spots. Tee boxes have been planted with new sod but are off-limits. Greens are inconsistent - some with dormant grass and others with splotchy green grass, which makes putts like trying to hit a knuckleball. The course was extremely dry, so shots hitting the greens bounced over or ended up on the very back. However, the course should improve a lot with a few days of rain.
