About
Since 2001 Wolf Creek has earned a reputation as one of the toughest golf tracks in the Atlanta Metro area. Wolf Creek boasts a 7028 yard par 72 championship layout with bent grass greens which is just one of the reasons Golf Digest selected Wolf Creek as the best course near Hartsfield Jackson Airport. The Mike Young Designs course incorporates both low flatlands holes, bordering many wetland areas, and holes with dramatic elevation changes. Wolf Creek has four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. A practice range and practice green allow for serious work on your golf game or just a warm-up before your round.

Golfer Reviews
Course was in good shape. Played late morning on a Tuesday. Had a twosome, finished in just over 3 hours. Clubhouse attendant was not very friendly, but that’s ok. Got a great hot deal price and the course was in good condition.
The course is secluded and it is in good condition.
Only one hole had a green that was in bad shape. All the rest were in great shape. Looked like a bad storm had come through recently. Tree limbs and a lot of debri. on paths. Sand traps were washed out so I did not play out of them. No yardage markers so you need a gps.
Course is under new management that is working to improve the conditions. Overall, the greens were in great shape, but the fringes need a lot of work due to the crabgrass. Greens are small and fast. This course definitely missed the pre-emergent treatment this year. Fairways are in decent shape for early summer and the Bermuda should continue to get better as it gets hotter. Staff was excellent and we played in 4.5 hours on a Sunday.
Wolf Creek
Very enjoyable round. Nice mix of holes with several shorter holes but still very challenging due to fast & undulating greens. Played in 3 1/2 hours.. Several holes, especially on par 5’s that you need to carry creeks or waste areas. Greens are very fast important to keep approach shot below the pin. Overall a very nice course & planning on going back soon.
Enjoyed the Course
I play Wolf Creek a couple of times a year and always enjoy it, even though I'm not crazy about the layout. Never seen a course that starts out par 5-3-5-3 and then ends with consecutive par 5's. Anyway, it's in good condition and would be in even better condition if people would take care of it. By that, I mean observe the 90-degree rule, and don't drive the carts too close to the greens or tee boxes, Come on, people, you know better than that! I'll be back when there's a Hot Deal. Around $40 is plenty to pay for Wolf Creek.
Five some group should not be allowed.
Overall, Wolf Creek is a good course as I have known for many years. As the levels of players vary, I understand the pace of the play vary. However I don’t understand the fivesome of poor players. Even worse is that they had no intention of hurrying. The ranger passed by, but didn’t take any action.
Challenging track, but way too slow
Loved the course and conditions. Greens were really fast. Pace of play was terrible though. Had to call the clubhouse to get a Marshall on the course. Doubt I’ll be back and that’s unfortunate.
Great public course in good shape where it counts.
As a 3 handicap this course is long enough from the tips to give you a challenge. Dont be fooled by the initial look of this place. Though it is a little older and the range and first few holes are not in the best of shape, they have changed management and the owner is looking to really put some time, effort and money into the course and it shows. The greens are in really great shape, they are running very true and firm but still receptive. The backside of the course really opens up and is in solid shape on the majority of the course. There are some rough spots on the course but not where it matters. A few of the fringes could use some help but there is not a single green that is not in nearly perfect shape and there is plenty of great fairways on the course. Really impressed with the work they are putting in. For the price, you will not be disappointed. As a side note, I accidentally booked the wrong tee time and they did me a solid and let me go off anyways. Kudos to the wonderful staff there.
Good test on a windy day
Tough but fair course. Course management is a must. Fun to test your game on one of the few courses that finish with two back to back par fives.
Great Day To Loose Balls
Great course, friendly staff. Overall great golf course. They really keep it in good condition. Greens roll true and a challenging course. Will definitely be back.
Greens are in great shape after aerification
The greens are fast now and really makes you consider your approach shots. Staff always friendly. We were one of the first groups out so pace of play was fine for us. Challenging course that I've played several times.
Horrible Pace of play
Over 5.5 hour round. We had 4 groups waiting to tee off on 18. There were rangers but they never told anyone to pick it up in front of us. Fun course but not worth it if you have to wait 10 minutes to hit every shot.
Great greens and an interesting course
Greens were in better shape than I expected based on the driving range and the first few holes. It starts out in a little scrappy condition. The range isn't great amd the first few holes aren't in the best shape but when you get into the back nine the course opens up and is actually really pretty. It can also play extremely long at 7k yards. Greens are small but not postage stamps so it makes for a challenging play. Don't be fooled by the appearance of this place. It definitely looks like a C- when you get there and start out but it's a solid B course once you get going
