The Eagles Golf Club - Forest

Course and greens in rough shape. Definitely needs some love and money put into it.

HORRIFIC pace of play. We teed off > 40 minutes past our tee time. Cart wasn’t available for our tee time. Thankfully we had only signed up and paid for 9 holes, because those nine holes took us, a twosome shooting at or just over par on the front 9 > 2.5 hours.

Some cool holes but greens are really bad and fairways like hitting off dirt. Some greens have spray paint to cover up the dirt . Staff is very friendly.

Somehow they didn’t have enough carts, so everyone’s tee time was delayed by at least an hour. Course books too many tee times too close together which really hurts golfer satisfaction.

Round took over 5 hours, areas was nice, greens not in great shape. I will play the excutive course the next 2 weeks I am in Clearwater because pace of play.

It's a beautiful design, the fairways and teeboxes are in good shape, but most of the greens were in rough shape - bare spots, crabgrass, areas of some sort of fungal infection. Pretty disappointing. No rakes for the Sandtraps, esp fairway bunkers.

Course has a great layout, staff is excellent, green are terrible, 3 different kinda of grass, big chuncks missing here and there, uneven cut hard to roll at all.

3 foursomes had tee times within 12 minutes of each other. Lead to a long round, lots of waiting, luckily it was a beautiful day.

I was a single and booked a 1035 tee time. I got there at 10 and bought a bucket of balls. The starter was working as hard as he could, but it seemed like they were just handing out tee times whether they were available or not. No exaggeration, there were about 12 - 15 carts lined up on the first tee on the Forest course. I got paired with a 3some with a 1055 tee time. We didn't tee off until 1145. We were told that once we tee'd off, we'd get moving along, but we were waiting on every hole which made it about a 5.5 hr round plus the 1.5 hour wait. That's unacceptable. Such a shame, too, cause its a nice course. I won't be going there again.

I think this was my last round at the Eagles - solid courses and a good price, but this is the third time in a row I have played and have not been close to starting on time.

Had a 1:07 tee time. Didn't get a golf cart until , and didn't tee off until 2:15, and only finished 16 holes until we had to go in at 6:30. Seems like they booked WAY too many tee times and don't have the capability to serve that many people. Will stay away from now on until it gets a little less crowded. Worth it to pay more for a better experience somewhere else. Just a bummer to wait 15-20 minutes at every hole.

Course was beautiful and well layed out. I did think if there are any complaints at all, that I was a little disappointed in the quality of the greens. Grass was very patchy and inconsistent. For that reason I think the price was a little high compared to others I have played while here on vacation.

Was overcharged for my round $10. Didn’t realize until I looked at my confirmation email. Almost every hole had many unplayable areas fairway to green. Had to lift and move on several greens to avoid bad spots in my line. Never saw a cart person for refreshments. Definitely was not worth the $70 per person I paid to play here.

Do not waste your money. Go somewhere else, pace of play was unreal. We waited 1.5 hours to tee off with 16 carts infront of us on the first tee. The starter and ranger do nothing besides laugh and say it’s gonna be a slow day. I would never come back here, course should be destroyed.
