The Eagles Golf Club - Lakes

I've played the Forest course before and it was my favorite in Tampa. Now that I've played the Lakes, the entire facility is my favorite. The tees and fairways were almost in perfect condition, and the greens were smooth and fast (about 11). The staff were super helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back every time I get to Tampa.

We enjoyed playing The Eagles (Lakes course), although we had a day that was a little windy and chilly. The course was in pretty good shape, especially the greens. Not a difficult course, but fun for players of all skill levels. Nice restaurant with decent food, although the service was a little shaky. There was a tournament that day, so a lot of people were in the restaurant.

Overall, I would recommend this course.

A great place to play golf. the cost can be challenging , green a big, the ball real well I don't really even nice pace. I highly recommend this course to anyone who enjoys golf and it's environment

Course was wide open and I played quickly; twice. Very good conditions although lots of irrigation made the fairways very soft. Could have used more signage. Twice I caught myself playing towards the wrong hole.

Despite the recent wet weather, the course drained pretty well. Enjoyed the layout. Fairways and greens are in very good condition. A great deal for the money!

Beautiful corse. Very challenging! They take very good care of the course. The greens were in very good condition.

This was only the second time I had played this course and I hadn't been back for whatever reason I am unsure of. I do know this, the Eagles is now at the top of my list of courses I will choose from when I want to play again. The fact that they provided an ice bucket with water is just unheard of these days. Kudo's to the staff and the course was in excellent shape. Will be going back more often now.

This course provides enough challenge for the intermediate golfer to enjoy a good round and forgiving enough to recover from an errant shot.
An advanced golfer with some well placed shots, can record a great score for their round. You will not be disappointed at the end of the day.

I had a hot deal and I was nearly alone on the course. Greens were in great condition. Has wide fairways but has enough challenges to get you thrilled when you come through a good shot. Have played a few times to say that I truly like this course

All around just a great course to play. Everyone in the area should come at least once.

Lakes course is the one we played. Good condition. The Forest course was closed, being arated.

New to the area, and this was the best course by far that I've played...from the time I arrived, til end of the round, the staff was very friendly and professional...the course was in very good shape, and plenty of challenges to face...

Rain and lightning struck at the 9th hole. Did not complete the course due to bad weather. I really enjoyed the layout and would love to play this course again. Nice greens and overall fun!

This a very nice golf course. Just before we teed off, the course got a couple of inches of rain. However, we were able to play cart path only. The biggest challenge was the wet fairways , making the course play longer. I will say the course is excellent,greens very good.restaurant food and menu excellent, and everyone at the course very accommodating. We played the Lakes. Played the Forrest 2 weeks ago, and it was in great condition. Both very nice.

I took a vacation to Florida and reviewed golf courses to play while my wife was taking a training class. The Eagles lake course looked appealing to me and it wasn't too far from where I was staying in downtown Tampa. Upon arrival the golf attendant greeted me as I pulled into the parking lot. He noticed my clubs were still in my travel bag and offered to leave the cart for me. After loading up and paying for my round the club house worker guided me to my tee box. The starting attendant also greeted me and notified me where I was to tee off and which holes I could not ride my cart on since it had rained the few days before. He also told me the group before me tee'd off an hour and a half before me and the group after me wasn't teeing off for an hour and a half behind me. So I got to play a leisurely round and enjoy the surroundings. The course was very well kept and fun to play. I wasn't rushed and didn't fear hitting into anyone. This was very surprising considering I was playing on a Saturday when most courses are very crowded.

This course offers a lot of beautiful water views on the course, but not much water comes into play if you hit reasonably straight. Everyone is friendly and inviting. Will definitely be added to my play list!

Perhaps the July 4th weekend was a good time to play the Lakes as many were out of the area visiting with families.

The staff was friendly, when I pulled my car up my bag was picked up, cart was ready as I came out of the pro shop. I was impressed by the great service.

I never had anyone playing behind me or in front. It was awesome playing at such a fast pace or when I wanted to slow it down I could. I played 18 holes in 3 hours 15 minutes and never rushed myself!

The course is long, some of the fairways were a little narrow, not too many trees. I played hazard free, was very close to the green in 2 on most of the par 4's. The challenge for me was that the pin placement was very difficult and that putting was difficult. Most of the courses I play in Tampa Bay If I get near or on the greens I usually 2 putt. This course had many greens that were difficult to get close enough to 2 putt. Half of the Par 4's I was 3 putting on after hitting good drives and good second shots.

You have to be very accurate with your irons and land close to the pin with that 3rd shot, I couldn't do it.

Very nice course would like to play again.

Couldn't have been more pleased with my choice to play here, the Lakes course was great, and I'm looking forward to trying the Forest course next time I'm in town.

Greens were the best I have experienced in the area. While several courses have struggled with various problems that have decimated their greens, the greens on the Lakes course were excellent! Fairways were in similar shape. Tees were were also in great shape. I cannot recall one thing about the round that I didn't care for... other than my score!

The course was in very good condition from tee boxes to the greens. The greens were slow but putted very true. The four bottles of water in the cart cooler were very necessary, especially since there is no water on the course at all. On extremely warm days, four bottles for two people may not be enough. Everyone from the pro shop to the cart workers were very friendly and helpful. The course layout is shown on the windsheild of the cart and is very helpful for first time players.
