Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Great course
Was very impressed with how nice this course was. Beverage cart with food was a huge plus. Check in guy was only iffy part as when I asked for logo back he snapped his fingers and pointed to a caddy bag that was off to the side
Great Day for golf
We had a fun round of golf last week. We played as a foursome with friends of ours. Our start time was delayed by 20 minutes, so unfortunately we did have time to play 18. It was still great fun and I highly recommended this course.
treat to play...
Great course. We had a ton of rain the day before, so the cart-paths were very flooded. Some of them were 8" deep - no kidding. One simple suggestion is to add some simple french drains so that the cart-paths can drain. The course was free of puddles though - which is most important.
A/C visit
Many golfers on both courses. Staff did nice job in getting everybody out to play. Some tees need a little work. I fixed more ball marks than my own. Pins were in some difficult spots but greens were rolling nicely.
Sandbagger53
Course is in great shape. A little water by the bay but the wind was blowing in. Greens are in terrific shape. Staff was super friendly. Gotta like wind though cause it’s windy. The carts are even fast! Only negative was the 5 some they let out ahead of the threesome in front of us that slowed everything down. Would definitely cone back.
Pace of play
Waited at least 5 and sometimes 15 minutes on every tee and did not see a Marshall the whole round.
Great course, Could not hold the greens
The course is a treat to play but the greens were like concrete and would not hold approach shots. They were fast which was nice, good shots were not rewarded.
I was in two green side bunkers one on 7 & one on 8. The sand was also like concrete.
Otherwise, the course is in immaculate shape. It was enjoyable but tough to score. If the conditions mirrored what LPGA players face, it proved how good they really are.
Great Day for Bay
Played it right after LPGA tourney and course played tough. Greens were fast, 20-30 mph wind gusts, thick roug. Had a blast with great playing lads. Pace was little slow course was crowded which was ok had time to soak in all the views on course. Drove 2 hrs from NYC to play was well worth the ride
Our group enjoys playing Seaview Bay Course. Greens were much faster than any of us remember, most likely due to recent LPGA event.
It gave us an appreciation for a snippet of what the pros deal with.
The course was great
Threesome in front of us were very slow and it was a 5 hour round. thought it was a difficult course
Seaview
Perfect weather and teeing it up less then 48 hrs since the LPGA tour event left. Greens were still lightening.
Not what it used to be...
Have played here several times over the years. Always in impeccable condition with a friendly staff. Things have changed. The greens were far from perfect. The rough is mostly crabgrass. And the cart paths are literally horrendous. A disaster. They are broken and littered with holes and huge breaks that were literally flooded although the starter told us it hadn’t rained there in three days. We were slightly early for our tee time so I decided to hit some balls on the range. I bought a range token and was driven by shuttle to the range. There were a dozen or so leftover balls In one of the stalls so I warmed up with them. The shuttle driver came back and said we could tee off so I never used the token. After the round I went in the pro shop to see if I could get my money back for the token I didn’t use. I explained to Jay in the pro shop that I never got a chance to use it and asked if I could get a refund for the token since I live two hours away.. He made no effort to hide the look of utter disgust on his face when I asked. It was incredible. He literally told me “no” like I asked him for something impossible. I told him to keep the $6. I’ll never go back to this place. This isn’t how you treat customers.
Great day with great views
The course is in good shape and greens are in great shape. The views were awesome on the bay. The greens are more difficult than the fairways. We had some steady wind which made the course challenging. Overall well worth it.
Ready for LPGA
Greens were in perfect condition and fairways were very good. Lpga tournament next week and it is a good time to play. Always enjoy playing but always a Donald Ross challenge. Course rarely disappoints
