Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Great day with great views
The course is in good shape and greens are in great shape. The views were awesome on the bay. The greens are more difficult than the fairways. We had some steady wind which made the course challenging. Overall well worth it.
Ready for LPGA
Greens were in perfect condition and fairways were very good. Lpga tournament next week and it is a good time to play. Always enjoy playing but always a Donald Ross challenge. Course rarely disappoints
Nice Course, Book Earlier
Nice course but became difficult to see pins as the sun went down.
Great Course
We played both courses (Pines & Bay) yesterday, and this course was in perfect conditions. They're hosting the LPGA tournament next month, and its ready. I would play here as often as possible if I lived nearby, and could afford. We had a great rate from Golfnow, $64 so prices was great. Beautiful course views. One of the nicest places I've ever played. It's not driver on many holes, and you can score if you keep it in the fairway. And you cannot if you don't! Other than a few very slow groups in front of us, a perfect golf experience. Seaview is first rate nd I will be back.
Bay Course Seaview
Great time playing course. Surprised at poor condition of cart paths. Surprised no ball washers on carts.
Loved playing the LPGA course. Hard to figure who to tip; we had 5 people involved from the bag drop to getting us off & back on the Bay Course. Tipped 2 of them a total of $7; felt like I shorted others.
Great course
Played in under 4 hours. Greens were in great shape.
Enjoyable Day
Quality round of golf, which we finished in just less than four hours on a Sunday. At $135, its not a value play but the course is fun, always in good shape and you're challenged. Miss the indoor grill room.
First time, won't be the last.
The Bay Course at Sea View Golf club is sneaky good and can be sneaky difficult. At first glance the property is fairly flat with tight routing and with sparse collections of trees. It's only after a few holes do you realize how the raised dunes play with your perspective, the rough eats up your club head, and on a windy day how a gust can easily knock 10-20 yards off what you thought was a perfectly struck shot (or push it offline for that matter). Furthermore, like most Donald Ross courses, the greens are diabolical and at the moment are in PRISTINE condition. I mean, they rolled so true and the approaches mowed tightly, I found myself often putting from off the green for a better result. Troon manages the course here and I've never had a bad experience at one of their properties. There were a few rough spots on fairways and there were some bunkers (always in the fairway) that had grass, but perhaps they are treating them more like "native" areas? No doubt they are gearing up for the LPGA ShopRite Classic being held in October this year. If you're in the area, and you love classic, super-walkable courses, definitely give this a shot. It's not a place that will wow you with spectacular land movements and its size, but it doesn't need to in order to be good. OH, and as for the BIGGEST and most often mentioned complaint about the course, the Greenhead Horseflys, I was lucky to have a land breeze pushing all those fly's out to Brigatine and AC. Thank. Goodness.
Nice Course, Great Views
I picked up a “Hot Deal” on Golf Now for $49 with a 4:18pm Tee Time as a single. I was teamed up with a father and his 2 adult sons for the round. The pace of play was very slow and we had to wait at every tee box for the group in front of us to clear before teeing off. The group ahead of us also had to wait for the group in front of them, so we didn’t have a choice. We had a twosome behind us who, on some holes, would pull up before we even teed off as the course was busy. After finishing 9 holes, one member of our group asked the starter if we could just play the front 9 again so we didn’t have to wait; otherwise, we wouldn’t finish all 18 holes before dark. After 13 holes, the 3 guys I was with left. I then went over to the back 9 and picked up on the 14th hole (as it was years since I played the course and wanted to play the back 9 holes. I was rushing to finish 18 holes before dark and literally took my last approach shot up to the 18th green without being able to see the ball land. Fortunately, I was on the green and finished out. If you book a tee time around 4pm, keep in mind that you may not finish all 18 holes. As fall approaches, you’ll even have less time. All in all, it’s a nice course and a lot of fun to play with stunning bay views as well as nice views of the AC skyline.
Disappointed
We have played this course many times over the past few years but were extremely disappointed today. The bunkers have crab grass growing in them, next to no sand, and they hard packed mud. Most courses around right now have taken rakes out of the bunkers but they are raked in the morning. Also I’m sure due to conditions very thick rough which wasn’t terrible just a tough time spotting balls which slow down play.
Dont miss the fairways!!!
Overall great course... could be a bit cheaper... when I say don’t miss the fairways... try not to because that fescue is no joke...you will find everybody else’s ball but yours... the rough is no joke either... greens are tricky, but challenging!! Playing again tomorrow... my tune might change...
