Fun course, terrible sand traps
I really like the course with so many par 3s to test my iron game. The place is beautiful with majestic oaks lining the course, water hazards nicely positioned on several holes, and great course condions. Except for the sand, I mean dirt traps. They were full of grass or water or packed down sand. Greens were nice with good speed and a good amount of movement, but not too much.

Very good shape
Played Thursday at 10 and not many other players on the course . Course was in great shape. Getting there is a bummer due to all the road construction.

Great bargain; helps with short game
Audubon’s course is in good condition and will help you hone your short game. They need more water stations on the back 9, and/or add a beverage cart service in the hot summer months.

Par 62
It’s a par 62 but still challenging. Beautiful course and the scenery around the course is awesome. Don’t leave anything unattended for even a minute though. Had some cigars taken from my cart while unloading my clubs.

Overall condition of greens and entire course was excellent! Kudos to superintendents crew!! Was only able to play 9 holes due to thunderstorms but course conditions were impeccable..

Memorial Day golf
Course was in pretty good condition. It was slow as expected but made worse by a six-some a few groups ahead. Almost had a hole in one.

Getting Back to better
For the past 2 years the course was going down hill. Course conditions were lacking and for a long time they didn't even have tee markers. Most of this was due to lack of staff but things are looking good again. The greens were recently verdicut but rolling well considering. Fairways were good and many of the tee boxes are coming back. Still need work on many especially numbers 7 and 9 that have no grass and holes. The bunkers could use some TLC but are playable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming but there is a lack of staff for a beverage cart. If you want to challenge your iron and short game Audubon is a good place to do it. 18-holes only takes about 3hrs at a good pace.

Great little test of golf and great value.
Wasn't sure what to expect. Don't underestimate the challenge this par 62, public course will give you especially if playing for the first time. True test if the shirt game with pitches and putts that can quickly add up. Balls roll after carry...water and traps test accuracy especially around greens.
It was a fun test of the technical golf game...staff helpful and friendly. Pace of play was delayed at times with some slow play by multiple singles but otherwise ok.
Would play again when in town.
