Weather
I love this course and play it as often as I can. It's a short course and great when you want a quick round. Unfortunately my round on the 19th was marred by cold, windy weather with gusts to 25 mph.
Definatly would recommend Audubon to anyone.

A city treasure
There has been a lot of chatter in recent years celebrating short course renovations like Goat Hill, Winter Park, Sweetens Cove, etc.
Audubon Park's revival story in 2002 came pre-Twitter and Instagram and I can't help but wonder if it doesn't get the widespread, "OG" respect it deserves. It's simply a gloriously charming and efficient routing on 81 acres in the heart of one of the greatest cities to visit in the country. I just adore the live oaks on the property; i'm as awestruck beneath them as I am on the Monterey coastline.
The par 62 has 4 par 4s and 2 par 5s. You can hit 4-6 drivers here and give your long irons a workout. This might be a better place to work on your game than a full-length 18-hole course. You can play 27 holes here in the time it takes to play 18 elsewhere and get your scrambling game way more reps.
I'm told they have a new superintendent and the conditions are bouncing back from some subpar months. I thought the greens rolled pretty nicely and they faster than the overseeded TPC down the road.
I had a great po boy and Abita Amber after the round in the clubhouse restaurant too. Seems like a lot of non-golfers come here for lunch and for good reason.
If you're in the central business district, hop on the St. Charles Street car and you'll enjoy a scenic tour of stately mansions and be at the north entrance to the park in no time.

Scenic
A nice course at a nice price. The rough was trimmed well so it was easy to track shots and lose less balls. The greens were very fast. The bunkers have actual sand to hit out of. The tee boxes are clear and marked and so was the course itself. Very helpful staff that even had someone on sight to regroup my buddy's club and deliver cold beer out to the course with a beautiful smile. This has quickly become our local go to course surpassing stonebridge which says a lot for us Westbankers.

Not what was expected
Very poor course conditions. I probably would have upped my review if the greens had been nicer. Also, the rental clubs weren’t in good shape at all. Better off playing the course across the street if you can

Friendly Golf course
Attending a meeting in New Orleans.
Got a chance to play at Audobon Golf course before I left.
Friendly course- many par threes- but the occasional water to keep you on your toes.
Greens fairly smooth but invasion by other grass makes it a bit unpredictable.
Overall a pleasant experience but not very challenging.

Sooooo tight
First of all let me start with how unfriendly the staff where . The word pretentious comes to mind . The look of you don’t belong here was felt by me . The course is small for the cost of a round . The uptown snobs can keep there little golf course all to themselves. There way better courses all over this area with much friendly people running them .
