PGA WEST Greg Norman Course

We played this course for the first time in over a year. They cleaned up a lot of the brush and put new sand in the bunkers and redid the greens. Sand in the bunkers is some of the best I've played from in a while. New greens however were well, new greens. Very hard but they did hold better than I anticipated. Biggest issue I had was the roll. Not complaining, they are what they are, new greens. Overall, if you've played this course before, you might not noticed a lot of difference in the layout, just easier to get around and less overgrown. Overall, very nice course.

New greens. Probably the most playable of all 5 of the public PGA West courses. Nice layout. Not overwhelming. Ponds have 1lb bass cruising around. Bring fishing pole. Staff is super friendly. I guess this is the least popular course since it’s all by itself, but this is the course I’d play daily.

The snowbirds have flown home and the desert is ours. The course was perfect and am grateful to have reasonable rates and fast pace of play for a championship course.

Hadn’t played it in years and really enjoyed coming back to play it.

Will definitely have this on our next list of courses for our next golfcation.

The course is in very good condition but the bunkers not so good. We were told they are completely redoing the course in a couple of months. Our issue was the 4 3/4 hour round and not a ranger in site. We will not play here again when there are so many other exceptional courses nearby.

I have never felt so unwelcome anywhere in my life. 10am thursday Brian acted as if we were pond scum. While out at the driving range I inquired of two other groups and on the course one other group if they had any issues checking in. All three groups , on their own, said exactly the same thing. The young girl behind the counter was nice, the starter was nice and Brian was a jerk. 5 1/2 slow play did not help. I am local and have considered moving to Greg Norman, have dined there, would consider joining, but what a turn off.

Can’t go wrong playing here. Tough holes, easy holes, long holes, short holes. Great condition. Something for everyone.

Pace of play was horrible. 11: O clock tee time 5.5 hour round. Front desk pro shop employee was either having a bad day or he is severely misplaced in his choice of occupation, he should look into cleaning stalls at the polo grounds, that might be a good fit.

We were very impressed with the condition of the course. It was a 9 out of 10!

Would play this course every weekend if I lived out there.
