Elmwood Golf Club
About
Elmwood Golf Club sprawls across some of the most beautiful countryside in Fife, offering scenic views of Tarvit Hill and the Lomond Hills. Visitors are always welcome at this pay-and-play facility, which is owned and managed by Elmwood College. The golf course put into effect a successful environmental strategy that has resulted in a sizeable increase in wildlife and wildflowers. More than 9,000 trees were planted prior to construction of the course and there is minimal, if any, use of pesticides. The sound environmental and maintenance systems in combination with the dry, free-draining site ensure that the golf course is playable year-round. The layout has a nice variety of holes including lengthy par 5s, tricky par 3s, and par 4s that offer birdie opportunities. Elmwood Golf Club also offers an expansive driving range with both indoor and outdoor bays.

Lovely course and people
We played the middle round and a Scramble in our annual golf competition at Elmwood. The team at the club were really helpful, the soup and sandwiches were great and the course was perfect. The greens were really good and considering the time of year the fairways were quality. VFM wise we couldn't knock it at all. Thanks a lot for looking after us

Very good day
Very friendly reception on arrival and then a warm up at the driving range some putting before setting off the greens are in very good condition in fact the whole course is quite good for the time of year
For the time of year the course was in good condition. Pace of play was good and the staff where very friendly.
Course has deteriorated since I played here a couple of years ago. All bunkers have weeds growing out of them and are treated as GUR , if you end up in the rough it’s a ‘conservation area’ so you get a free drop, and where there used to be water hazards they are all dried up so no punishment for poor shots. The greens however were excellent and challenging.
Lovely course
This course was really nice and was easy to follow. The only let down was that the bunkers were not in play which would have made our game more challenging
They were all deemed GUR and it looks like they have been for a while
I don’t understand this as the rest of the course was immaculate.
I would certainly play it again.
Great day out
Overall, a great course. It is the Greenkeepers college , so I can understand the 'All bunkers GUR' local rule. For once i didnt land in any, but every little helps and I guess they havent reached Bunkers on their course yet. Joking aside, great layout and i loved the 'teasing ' greens . Certainly will return
Shocking experience
Tee time was 13:50... currently 18:40 and only on hole 16 due too an annual outing infront of us. Never was warned by the staff of this and the outing have been ridiculously slow and never had the consideration to stop and let us (a 2 ball) and 3 or 4 others behind us two actually walked off and never finished a chance to play through. (Wishing we walked off too)
Shame cause the course is in lovely condition.. only refused to call it quids due to paying £62 for the 2 ball and driving near an hour to get here. Rather Disappointed
Enjoyable golf course
Nice golf course, surrounded by nature. We had a lovely day. Greens were a little bit slow.
Very pleasant course
Well laid out parklands course. In good condition. Greens slow. Suitable for all standards, low handicappers may find it easy. We were high, so liked the wide fairways but there were some dangers lurking. Ownership changing but still kept very well. Would recommend it for a very pleasant day’s golfing. Very good value, compared to some of the other courses in the St Andrew’s area.
Great
Played here a few times.one of my favourites.
Tee to green in stunning condition at the moment.
Course
Course a bit heavy in some places , but overall good condition, greens good for this time of year .
Greatly Improved
I had not played this course since before covid and was impressed by the improvements made. Course was in excellent condition. Greens very fast.
All in all a very enjoyable course to play.
