Drumoig Hotel Golf Resort

About
Drumoig Golf Hotel sprawls across 250 acres of rolling countryside inhabited by a variety of different birds and wildlife. The dramatic landscape provides the course with plenty of loch-side fairways and quarry greens. The lochs come into play on three holes, most notably on the challenging par-3 ninth. The difficult tee shot is followed by a tricky shot over the loch in order to reach the green. More advanced golfers will find the back tees provide a good challenge while the front tees are better for beginners. Golfers will also enjoy the views that stretch past St. Andrews Bay and the River Tay to Dundee and Carnoustie. The par-5 fifth is the signature hole of the golf course. The hole, which often plays into prevailing wind, requires a strong drive and a long iron to reach the narrow opening to the green.

Review
Great course, weather conditions challenging, most enjoyable day considering
Golf Cancellation
The course was closed however I received no notification from Golf Now and indeed as yet no refund. Fortunately the starter contacted me and save a long journey

First time playing here .for the time of year the coarse was in good condition and the greens where in good state of play .some tricky holes but 3 of us enjoyed the day and weather was in our favour .would play again
The only place to play in winter
Phenomenal course and amazing conditions for this time of year.
Excellent course and great value
Played recently in a 2 ball behind a four ball who were unbelievably slow and never even considered letting us through, dreadful golf etiquette. Thankfully The course was very good, it was very solid dry to the frost and was still on full greens. A cracking long course with some great views. Would definitely play it again, great value. Didn’t use the club/hotel. The guy in the starters box made us welcome. Well worth a visit.
Vg
Very good although only 2 went as my friend developed a very bad cold , so it was a bit more expensive for the 2 of us
Great Value Winter Golf
Considering the very wet winter we are expecting, our game at Drumoig was thoroughly enjoyable. No mats, 18 real greens (sneaky quick for January) and no mud, provided a much needed winter golf fix.
Excellent as usual
Yet again this course didn’t fail to impress. Greens a bit frozen, nut it’s January and our first thing. Love this place!
Always Open
Each time we visit we can see improvements to the course. Greenkeepers always busy and course layout just gets better and better. Course is open when others close and a joy to play 18 holes with full greens in January.
Frozen gem
The course was in amazing condition with all greens open and temperature was 2 degrees at the most, we got let off 30 minutes early by the friendly starter. A copuke of nice hole changes since the last time I played the course.
