Drumoig Golf Hotel sprawls across 250 acres of rolling countryside inhabited by a variety of different birds and wildlife. The dramatic landscape provides the course with plenty of loch-side fairways and quarry greens. The lochs come into play on three holes, most notably on the challenging par-3 ninth. The difficult tee shot is followed by a tricky shot over the loch in order to reach the green. More advanced golfers will find the back tees provide a good challenge while the front tees are better for beginners. Golfers will also enjoy the views that stretch past St. Andrews Bay and the River Tay to Dundee and Carnoustie. The par-5 fifth is the signature hole of the golf course. The hole, which often plays into prevailing wind, requires a strong drive and a long iron to reach the narrow opening to the green.

Hidden gem

Why pay £300+ for other courses in the area when this hard test of golf is there for a fraction of the price? If you play to your handicap, you'll be doing well. Very nice course, greens were good - overall a great test. I'd go back there tomorrow

Sunday golf

Course good condition, never met a more miserable starter in playing golf for 30 years,,the face of a golf course should be welcoming to visitors not having a face like thunder when trying to interact with her .,constantly replying with one word answers ,gave up and went to play my round of golf.

Drumoig

Great value on a decent track, played off the back tees which added almost 500 more yards.

Friendly starter

We are a couple in our 60’s with handicaps of 18 and 14.

On the day the weather was very good for the time of year. The course was fantastic; a fair challenge and in great condition considering the time of year. The starter was extremely welcoming and friendly.

We certainly intend to return when we are next in Fife.

A hidden gem of a course

Very friendly starter who explained the layout of the course. We thoroughly enjoyed our round and found many of the holes challenging and interesting.

Will definitely return.

well worth the visit

Chose Drumoig as knew from previous visits at similar time of year could expect dry conditions

Couple of temporary greens on due to course renovations only knew if this because of a contact maybe less pleased if gone out to come across the 2 temporary ones as starter didn’t pass this information on seemed to have issue that we were late which as it happens we weren’t checked my watch as playing 2nd shot on 1st hole in fact still a minute ahead of tee time
