Royal Musselburgh Golf Club sits at the tip of the renowned span of golf fcourses along the East Lothian coast, and offers picture-perfect parkland play, making it a must-visit. Royal Musselburgh holds the honor of being the world's fifth-oldest, having started as the nine-hole links course, Musselburgh Levenhall. The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, Royal Burgess Golfing Society and Bruntsfield Golf Club have all golfed there.
Royal Musselbergh Golf Club's 349-yard par-4 first hole hides two fairway bunkers to the right. The 477-yard par-5 ninth requires three-shot play when fighting wind: The closer you get to the green after two strokes, the more difficult the pitch. Close down on the 410-yard par-4 18th, where it behooves golfers to carry a big stick, as going right off the tee, rather than carrying the drive to just in front of the green, is a major folly. Non members may pay to use the restaurant and bar, become social members, and get affordable course fare, as well as the chance to attend special events such as dances, buffets, and whisky tastings.

Lovely course
Lovely club house, steeped in history. The course was in lovely condition and the staff were very welcoming of visitors.

Nice course to play
Got it on a deal for £40 which was ok for the course it’s a short course but there are a few tricky holes and plenty of bunkers to catch you if your not in the right areas of the fairway. Might play it again in a few yeas.
Good value for money
Very good parkland, tree lined course. Used a Hot Deal which made it excellent value compared to other courses in the area.

le ultime tre buche hanno richiesto un buon passo per i forti dislivelli, ma lo spettacolo è molto bello.
se proprio vogliamo trovare un difetto, parliamo del campo pratica poco segnalato per poterlo raggiungere, essendo fuori dall'ingresso. parcheggio interno, ottima segreteria.
difficoltà a mangiare qualcosa dopo un 18 buche avendo trovato la cucina chiusa.Ma la birra è sempre disponibile!

Most friendly welcome we've ever had couldn't have been more accommodating. Absolutely first class from the moment we drove in. Stunning course. Beautiful views. Will be back
A time to remember
Accolades can not begin to describe our visit. It began with a visit led by Jake, an incredible guide to the history of this James Braid designed course. His knowledge of the history of Royal Musselburgh was magnificent. As was his guided tour of the history of this fabled course.
The golf was splendid! Exceeded by the golfers themselves. Though we were visitors they treated us as long time members. They offered unsolicited advice and information as we went through our round, .Friendliest group I've ever encountered.
Simply stated you must visit this course if ever in Scotland!

We were very impressed with the scenic layout of this moderately challenging gold course which incorporated the castle clubhouse nicely from various angles on the fairways. Very friendly staff, course in excellent shape and we will certainly be returning.
Fantastic Course!
Great deal on Golf Now and course was immaculate. Challenging holes and a variety of difficulties. Filled with woodland and wildlife as well. Will recommend to everyone.

Really enjoyed the round, an excellent course in great condition. Good variety of holes, particularly the back 9.
Good course for £30 but Friday night is slow.
Classic parkland course. Was in good condition. Looks to be in an old estate so some interesting buildings and features on the course. Course is good but had to walk in as it was so slow. Course packed with 4 balls on a Friday night. Comp maybe runs then.

What a beautiful course staff were so friendly, the course was in fantastic condition greens are as good as it gets ,me & my son ( 14 years ) will be playing here again the next time we visit Edinburgh 😀

Phenomenal Track
Excellent well kept course. Greens are exceptionally tricky and a tad quicky but I'd highly recommend!
You will feel welcome
From the first moment arriving until you leave you will feel just welcome. Everybody is just nice and helpfull. The course is nice green well keept and very good condition. Lots of room next to the fairway for everybody to play well. After the round a cool beer and some excelent food to round up. I wish I could be a member there….so I will come back some time. Thanks.
