About
Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

I was disappointed that the back 9 greens were not available. They should have given us a discount or something.
Mid round punched green
We were initially told we got lucky because they were planning on punching the greens that day but weren’t going to anymore. We were surprised when we got to the 5th hole to find it was being punched mid round. Not a huge deal really but could’ve just told us at the front that they might start punching just in case. We sat on the tee box for a bit thinking it was the group in front of us and waiting for them to clear.
Overall still a fun course and a good day despite the green situation and a group hitting into us multiple times for no reason.
A golf course that doesn't very good
this golf course is racist and discriminatory against Asians. I came to this golf course as a team of 3 and they decided to add a stranger 9also happened to be Asian) to our golf cart.
I asked for a separate cart but they declined claiming that it was golf course rules, which is fine. However while we were in the course we saw that they gave separate golf carts to other teams with similar situations as ours.
Why the different treatment?
Never coming back to this course again!
Greens have a lot of hills and putting isn’t realistic. Greens roll way to fast and ball doesn’t sit like it normally should .
Crazy Greens
I love Marshall Canyon Golf. Located in the San Dimas mountain area. Beautiful course with all kinds of wildlife. It’s always a bit crowded so expect a 5 hour + day. But if you’re not in a rush this is a great place to play a round and relax. The Greens are tricky, I call them “The Crazy Greens”. You’re in the foothills so level is tricky and these greens can humble the best of putters. All in all, in the Inland Empire, one of the best courses. Remember to book your tee times in advance.
SLOW PACE
we tee off at 12:30pm and after 5 hours, we were still at 14th hole. SLOW PACE! There were no one to come out and check the pace.
Never a bad day to swing the clubs!
Excellent layout friendly staff green conditions were almost perfect. Would certainly recommend To all levels of golfers.
