Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

Greens were crazy!

Teeing off from red only. Tee boxes could be better!

Greens were just challenging!

A njghtmare

Nice personnel and facilities. Golf course poorly marked, fairways rough and greens are a nightmare. Impossible pin locations on sloping greens with all punishing and no rewards.

Great venue, wide open, tough greens

Great day spent in the foothills. Air is fresh, plenty of wildlife, wide open fairways, but some fast tricky greens!

SLOW PACE!!

Tee'd off 45 past my tee time. (Running a LITTLE late lol). And then not enough carts so had to share a cart with a complete stranger, not cool. Finally tee'd off just wait a between 5 to 10 minutes on every hole, 3 hours front 9. No marshall out in the field to help things run smoothly. All and all complete dumpster fire...

American golf corporation took over Marshall Canyon at the beginning of the year. I hope these guys figure out quickly, cause if not they're gonna lose a lot of business as for me I'll give him a month or 2 to smooth things out

A little extra effort is definitely needed in setting up the designated tee boxes and emptying the trash receptacles. Majority of the red, white, and blue were set right on top of each other, most notably set to the permanent red tees. Trash was overflowing in the cans. Not acceptable for a pre-11:00 tee time.

Great course

As a beginner this course is the right amount of difficulty without it being so much that you don’t want to play. Very beautiful. Greens are fast. They layout has lots of variety.

Almost An Hour Behind

They’re overbooking like I’ve never seen a course do. Showed up and was told they were 45 minutes behind on tee times and that my 12:27 tee time might as well just pay for 9 because there was no way I’d get 18 in.

4 minute intervals won’t work

I love playing Marshall Canyon but the was overbooked and that was very disappointing. The GM has staff making tee times at 4 minute intervals which I’ve never seen. Staff seemed very upset because they were dealing with the angry golfers, some who started 30 mins late. Saw some golfers just pack up and leave

terrible pace of play, greens not maintained properly

I've been here a few times before, and today is absolutely the worst experience. Horrible pace of play on a Monday. Our tee time is at 11:42 am but did not finish until 5:30 pm. That's almost 6 hours. We waited for at least half an hour on most of the par threes, and there were no marshalls.

The greens are horrendous. The ball will go off the green when it's downhill even if I tap it, and it will come back to your feet when it's uphill. illegal pin positions everywhere. I rarely make three puts, but today I made five 4-putt and one 5-putt.

Will not come back ever.

Terrible Pace of Play

there are no marshals anywhere on the course monitoring the pace of play. It took us nearly 30 minutes to play 2 holes. Cart girl mentioned that she saw a five some playing ahead of us which I don't believe is allowed.

Course Closed

Booked a prepaid time only to show up and the course was closed. It would be nice if this was made apparent on GolfNow. Had to jump through hoops to get a refund. Will be booking through Supreme Golf from now on..
