Marshall Canyon Golf Club

This course is always a fun track, difficult to walk I’d recommend a cart. Greens are a little slow and soggy right now. Fairways are GREEN, a rarity for Ca courses with our drought. Pace slow due to one group otherwise should be fine. Tee’d off at 10:40 on a Monday. Maintenance workers were out. Bunkers could use some work, basically dirt. I’ll be back

There was a group of 7 walkers followed by a group of 3 walkers. Total about 10 walkers in front with same tee time. On a positive note, we joined 2 rider groups that were backed up in line waiting and made some new friends.

Have been to Marshall a few times now. Both to play 9 and 18.

By far my favorite course around the IE. Would even choose coming here over some of the Palm Desert courses I have tried. Surrounded by nature, deer laying / running around each time I’m there on pretty much every hole. Even saw a bobcat completely minding his own business which was awesome. Aside from that the course is always kept in great shape. Does play a little slow but it all depends on who’s in front of you. Im not a big “ready golfer” so it being slow sometimes does not matter to me. I usually try to be first out and it’s gorgeous watching the sunrise. Very friendly staff and have a good assortment of beverages / snacks. They do make some breakfast burritos and things like that. Have seen a grill with hot dogs and such on the weekends. Would definitely give this course a try if you haven’t yet.

Marshal was a great place to play. I went there yesterday for my first time. I had a great time the course was in great shape and well taken care of. The course in the canyon surrounded by nature, I saw at least 10 deer wonder around. The hole placement was challenging on a few holes witch I liked. The only negative is that it played slow. It took 5 hours to complete the 18 holes. I would definitely play there again and recommend it.

Over it’s a decent course

This is the third time I left after 9 holes. I figured I would give them another chance. Pace was super slow. Not a big fan of courses that allow 5-somes,

Different than most courses. Lots of slopes, corners, and elevation but still a playable course for bogey plus golfers.

Booked this last minute early tee time over the Labor Day weekend just hoping to beat the heat and have some fun and although it was hot... there is plenty of shade to hide under. The course was in great shape. Waiting time was very minimal only on the par 3's .... cart girl came around many times to check on us...Deer walking and running around adds a peaceful vibe out there. The fairways were green and cut short which made for very nice lies (When I hit them LOL! ) and also the greens were excellent and in awesome shape, very soft and receptive. Plenty of one hop stops and half moons ..... which is better then dry and hard greens where you ball rolls for a mile after it lands. Starter was super cool and friendly... club house has been redone and looks nice. I will definitely be back. Good Job Marshall Canyon!!
