About
Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

Love this course but don't tell anyone.
I love this course, it's in the beautiful quiet foothill not to far from my house. Like most golf courses, the fairways could be more plush but the greens are in perfect condition and as you have heard, very challenging . The staff are friendly and the pace is good, I'm not sure why, but it is nice when you tee time comes up and there isn't three foursome still waiting.

VERY NICE TRACK
I'VE BEEN PLAYING THIS COURSE FOR YEARS AND IT'S A VERY TOUGH AND CHALLENGING COURSE. THE GREENS ARE VERY TRICKY. SO, I SUGGEST YOU COME HERE WITH YOUR "A" GAME. AWESOME COURSE !!!!!

Average local course
We were on a golf vacation from out of state, and we booked this course based on a lot of positive reviews. However, the course was little disappointing. It felt like an average local municipal course. The pace was slow and the fairways were too close to each other. I probably will not return to this course next time we visit.

Course
Had a great time, some high winds damage not really in the way but had to hit around it sometimes, deer poop, well that’s expected with so many around. Still it’s a great course with challenging greens.

Golf with the boys
First time for all three of us and we absolutely loved it!! A ton of deer, great calm pace of play, well kept greens and just a fun course to play! We will definitely be back!

pretty good
it was first time play at Marshall. Hot deal offers great combination of play& practice balls. practice area was small and aged but the actual course was really good shape. watching deers is just additional fun!

Overwatered
Used to love driving all the way from the beach to this place tears ago, but it needs a lot of TLC now. Overall conditions were below standard for the cost. Better lawn care is needed, and it could be the star it once was

Great place to golf
Well maintenance, putting greens are fast so beware..lol. Bought beers there and they gave us a cooler to use . Will returns best golf course I’ve played at so far . Cant wait to go again!
