About
Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

La Verne Golf Battle
First time at this course. The greens are really slopey. Had issues with our cart for about an hour which slowed down our pace considerably.
Foursome & Fivesom ONLY
Only put our foursomes & fivesomes ONLY Pace of play is horrendous at this track. Starts w/Management…No marshals no cart-bev. person,

Golf education for personnel would be a crucial call to be relevant 👀
Bang for your buck
Easy straight forward layout, greens run fast and pin placements were tough. If your a mid handicap get ready for 3 putts. Door all over makes it a nice view.
Slow play
Typical for a Sunday afternoon. 5 1/2 hr round! Greens were ridiculous, I’ve never had so many 3 puts
Absolutely Worst Golfing Experience in 30 years
Upon arrival for my 530 am tee time. I advised the staff member that I would.like to pay for my wife to be a spectator, since there was no option online to book that. The staff member very rudely said there are no spectators allowed on the weekends. She suggested I make my wife wait for me to complete my round. I asked if I could just pay full price and have her ride with me. She said no and according to her that Golfnow website stipulated there are no spectators on the weekends. I look everywhere on Golfnow website and Marshall Canyons website. Nowhere does it say no spectators on the weekend. I'm sure if my skin had LESS MELANIN in it. I'm 100% positive we would've been allowed onto the course with no issues. I will never return to this golf course again and will advise my colleagues to not visit this location.
Always under repair
Called before I booked the tee time to make sure they had all the holes playable ( last time I went there were 5 holes that we couldn’t use the green so they put a flagstick in the middle of the fairway ). They said it was all up and running. Showed up and hole number two was closed so they put another random flagstick and tee box in in the middle of fairway again . . Seems like this is too common here
Foursomes Only
Stop putting out twosome!
They have No marshall, pace of play is left to the group ahead…(Golf ETIQUETTE) many players especially newer players. Could greatly benefit from a “Marshall”
