Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

Absolutely Worst Golfing Experience in 30 years

Upon arrival for my 530 am tee time. I advised the staff member that I would.like to pay for my wife to be a spectator, since there was no option online to book that. The staff member very rudely said there are no spectators allowed on the weekends. She suggested I make my wife wait for me to complete my round. I asked if I could just pay full price and have her ride with me. She said no and according to her that Golfnow website stipulated there are no spectators on the weekends. I look everywhere on Golfnow website and Marshall Canyons website. Nowhere does it say no spectators on the weekend. I'm sure if my skin had LESS MELANIN in it. I'm 100% positive we would've been allowed onto the course with no issues. I will never return to this golf course again and will advise my colleagues to not visit this location.

Always under repair

Called before I booked the tee time to make sure they had all the holes playable ( last time I went there were 5 holes that we couldn’t use the green so they put a flagstick in the middle of the fairway ). They said it was all up and running. Showed up and hole number two was closed so they put another random flagstick and tee box in in the middle of fairway again . . Seems like this is too common here

Stop putting out twosome!

They have No marshall, pace of play is left to the group ahead…(Golf ETIQUETTE) many players especially newer players. Could greatly benefit from a “Marshall”

Tee time was 9:33. Ended at 3:00. If the course could finish in 4:30 then it would be a great deal. I saw a staff member trying to move it along so that was helpful to know they’re working on it. Will try again in the near future to see if it’s faster.

Needs some work

The grass needed to be cut. The fairways were more like a typical rough length, the tee boxes were not cut down, and the ball would disappear in the rough. The golf carts are absolute trash. Ours quit working on the 10th fairway and then the replacement kept wigging out. Had to turn it off and on to get it to work and needed to pump the brakes for the brake to release.
