Sun Village Golf Course, although located within a retirement community, offers a challenging game. This par-3 course has three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels and abilities. It has plenty of water on the back nine, adding to its difficulty. Although the course has homes surrounding it, there is still a laid back and quiet atmosphere. Since the golf course is aimed towards seniors, it is easy to walk although it does have a winding layout that some golfers get lost on. The Sun Village Golf Course being only for seniors is a misconception though, since the course offers a good game.

Good value
Had an 0800 tee time for myself and my son. Ended up playing with another father & son who play there regularly. My 12-year-old son has been playing for seven months now. The course was perfect for him. My biggest complaint is the large trees around the greens make them extremely dirty. Consequently putting was difficult at best. Greens needed to be blown off. Tee boxes were in fair condition. Many of the tee boxes had been moved for shortening the length of the hole. Not an extremely challenging course. Great for hacks and newbies. Our foursome finished in about two hours and 35 minutes. We will be playing it again. Likely regularly.
Nice little course.
Nice par 3 course. The front 9 is nicer than the back 9.
Nice par three course
First round of golf on this trip. Nice way to get the rust off. Walking only course and there are several holes where you have long walk between green and next tee. Course is built through housing.
Holes 11-14 are water holes from the blues and are fun
Fun Course - quick round
Sun Village is a short 18-hole par 3 course that is fun to play. It has some challenging holes and many easy holes. The course is in good condition. The front nine is a little quirky running through the neighborhood, but easy enough to find the way. The back nine has a lot of water (and thus a lot of goose droppings). The people are friendly and depending on who is in front of you, you can move through the course at a good pace.
Fun little par 3 course
Don't go Tuesday. If you get behind ladies club, your 2 hour round will turn into 3 hours
Decent short game primer
You need quite possibly only 4 clubs to play this course. It would be fine to see more variation in the layout BUT, and I emphasize this - the short game challenge is where it's at here. Deep greenside bunkers, plenty of hazards from which to work out the kinks in your pitching game make this course worthy of the effort. I would like to see a rougher rough but being in Arizona I get it.
My son’s first round of golf
We loved playing Sun Village! It was a great first round for my son as he was able to use all of his clubs on this short course. We will be back!
Great greens but small
Great course for practicing your short game. Warning, houses are very close to the greens.
Nice course with friendly personal
Overall my wife and I had a good time As mentioned in previous reviews, the front nine was a joy however the bird droppings on the back nine were a shame. Too bad a remedy can't be found.
