Great wee course!

Played this course for years and you see the continuous improvements now which are great! Excellent condition especially with the rain we’ve had recently.

Let itself down

Course was in pretty poor condition in part due to the very wet weather we have had recently however here is also a lot of the course that needs attention. Landing in the middle of the fairway was a lot like landing in the first cut of rough and the rough you were lucky if you found you ball. There is also one green on the 8th hole that is in terrible condition. There is some really nice holes and the views over Glasgow are spectacular. Some of the holes are very well taken care of and are great to play but it’s the few holes that need a lot of attention that let the course down

Room for improvement

First time playing here. Short course, but hilly. Need to improve signage for holes, bunkers unplayable so free drops as classes as GUR. Would play again as still challenging

Would not recommend

Greens like fairways and "bunkers" had no sand at all, none of them. That's not an exaggeration, no sand, only rocks & weeds growing out them. The greens either had no grass or lumps of grass 1 side.of the green and just mud the other. Terrible course

Rouken Glen - well worth a go

A good course that I guess has benefited from some updating and investment since David Lloyd moved in next door.

Some bumpy greens, but on the whole very well kept.

Short compared to others, but considering the variation in elevation, still interesting and you will get to work your way through the clubs easy enough.

NOTE if you were not the most mobile some of the up-hill could be touch and go.

Covid means that spacing between rounds seems to have been stretched, but very well managed by the Rouken team

Good value for money

Enjoyed my first round here. Course was in good condition overall, albeit the greens were little bumpy and tee boxes needed a bit of TLC. Some interesting holes with sloping fairways and small greens, and frequent elevation changes. I found myself using most of the clubs in my bag, which is always nice. A few too many blind shots, and no par 5s, but on the whole a pleasant course to play that’s certainly good value for money

Nice course but got lost

Would have got 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact we got lost and managed to miss out 5 holes, played the last 4 twice to compensate. The flags and tee boxes aren't numbered which was the problem, also no sign posts to next tee, been looking at the map as still don't know where or what 5 holes we missed.

Other than that great time with my mate and the course was perfect for what we required, will return.
