Balmore

Excellent course with food available in the Clubhouse and a well stocked Pro Shop. The Course itself is well laid out and whilst not the longest still provides a challenging test to most Golfers. It was in excellent condition when we played and the Greens ran true and quick. The members are very friendly and the pace of play was good. Went around in just over 3 hours and thoroughly enjoyed the Round. Good value for money and will definitely be back.

Great Day of Golf

Arranged the round to celebrate a family birthday.

Met by Dougie, the pro, who was very friendly and helpful. The course was set up for a competition to be held later which was called The Greenkeeper's Revenge, where all the pins had been set in the most difficult position on each green. This certainly made putting a bit of a challenge. The course was in great condition and the greens well maintained and very fast.

All four of us in our group have played Balmore quite a few times in the past, and we all look forward to playing there again sometime.

Cool day out

Enjoyed the course which was easy to walk not overly tired at the end. Comment below noted poor greens but that wasn't the case from what I played. All good in terms of greens and general course conditions. There were groups in front of me but even playing as a single behind these the play moved along nicely. Can't really think of anything negative to say about the course so happy days.

Day out away from our course

We choose balmore as we heard it was a nice course from folk who played it before a few years back but I feel it was poor quality for a day out away from our own course (Caldwell) the difference was night & day tbh the greens are all too long & bumpy very hairy the worst I’ve played on in a long time I’ve played on better council ran courses & to make things worse the 4 ball in front of us held us up all day & never let us play through we spent as much time on the tee boxes as we did playing the holes I can understand that happens sometimes in golf but we honestly considered walking off at the 12th hole only reason we never as we didn’t want to just walk the course putting others off their game it was a waste of money & I will ne et go back or recommend it to anyone.

Interesting

Lovely course and amenities, not a long course 66par. Each hole gives you something to think about. Walkable and not to hilly apart for the 11th. Would recommend to any golfer who looks for something different on every hole.

Great wee course

Although it was a wet morning when we turned up to play the course was in great shape. Balmore is a great wee track with some challenging holes.

I have played here quite a few time and fort £15 you can’t go wrong. It’s only 15 mins from Glasgow and I would recommend Balmore for a great day of golf
