Poor fairways

The course has alot of scorch marks on the fairway.

Played a few years ago and the course was in excellent condition, nowadays.....it is probably worse than some £15-£20 public courses.

At present i wouldn't consider it and to stay with your local 'cheaper' course alternative.

Wouldnt complain about the layout. Yes some holes are blind but you either like that or don't like it.

No a bad track

Quirky course, 15 blind tee shots out of 18 so quite difficult to navigate your way round if your visiting for the first time, greenkeeper on course was very helpful on providing information at certain holes. No pro shop (that we could see) very kind young girl from the bar area gave us scorecards and checked us in. Staff and members we encountered were friendly although we were stuck behind a 4 ball of elderly gentleman from the 6th hole who didn't let us play through so pace of play from that point was extremely slow!!!!! the greenkeeper told us that they are regular slow players and refuse to let people play through this is obviously an issue so maybe the club should have a quiet word with these elderly gentleman about course etiquette. Greens were very true and fast also in great condition, its a well maintained course and great for an inland parkland course but quite hilly with blind shots galore. Overall I would reccomend this course

Course to Remember!

Loved this course. There are a few holes that you'll never see anything like anywhere else! A lot of blind holes. Beautiful course. Already booked to play there again before going back to Dubai.

Odd Layout

The greens were fantastic but the course layout is very odd, as an example, the 15th green finishes at the clubhouse, assuming this was the 18th in another layout. There was no mention prior to booking that a competition was on that day so the pace of play was chronic, an hour for three holes! We were so frustrated by the speed of play that we surrendered before the end (and before we lost daylight!).

Great wee course

I really enjoyed this course, with it being one of the more interesting ones I’ve played.

The course is undulating with a number of blind shots, a few of which you’re trusting you’re aiming in the right direction. The course was in great condition considering how dry it’s been in recent weeks.

The club house doesn’t open until 11am, but I found a staff member who allowed me buy something to drink during my round.

All the staff and most of the members I encountered were very friendly. I did encounter one member who particularly put out that I was holding up the pace of play, even after I explained I had just been let through by a four ball. I guess there is always one.

I’ll definitely come back at some point.

A little bit disappointed

Too many blind shots & too hilly for me with the layout a bit confusing at times. Nice views & people on the course very friendly.

10/10 greens

Blown away by the great condition of this course. Some great holes although the lay out confused us a bit but thats my only fault and even at that it was a minor inconvenience. The greens were spectacular and a lot of credit should go to the green keeping staff. Will definitely be back

Good overall

First time playing this course, overall it was good. Quite a few blind holes which was tricky but once you play it you’ll know the line etc. Strange last 3 holes 16 should be 18 as next to clubhouse you then play away again for 17 and 18 finishes at the car park , overall I would recommend it

Quirky and very enjoyable course.

I was a bit apprehensive when I saw reviews about blind shots as I'm not normally a fan. However I embraced the blind shots and thoroughly enjoyed the course which was equal parts quirky and interesting. A lovely setting for a course which was presented in great conditions.weather was great which always helps in Scotland and the course was very firm. Staff at the clubhouse could not have been any nicer. The clubhouse/bar has obviously recently been refurbished and was very nice indeed. The only sore point was a group of members who despite numerous opportunities fail to let us play through but I wasn't about to let it ruin my day.. Will definitely be back.
