First time at old courseranfurly,great value for money. Course in great condition and some lovely and quirky holes.Definitely be back .

We play at a very small club Blairmore & Strone golf.club (29 members) and always visiting local clubs in the area.

Came across this club due to one member being a member 40 ! Years ago so we decided to have a day out.

What a beautiful club, from being welcomed, changing rooms, dining/bar to the course itself.

The course is just beautiful and the last three holes have the potential of turning a good round into a hellish one.

Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

Turned up at 10.30am for a 11am tee off and we couldn’t get access into the clubhouse due to not knowing the security code on the door and we couldn’t see anyone inside. Just went straight on the course and played our full round without being questioned, we could have been anyone walking on and playing a free round of golf for 3 people. Apart from this small glitch it was a beautiful day for a round of golf, the course played very well with some of the greens not quite ready yet, however, all in all had a smashing day and all thanks to golfnow and Old Ranfurly.

Played the course on a wet day in late December and was pleasantly surprised on well it had held up against the rain. Could not fault the condition of the course. Spoke to some welcoming members who couldn’t have been friendlier.

The only thing I don’t like about the course is the layout of the final 3 holes. I feel like they have been crammed in. Playing the 18th feels like an anti-climax and think the 15th hole which greens in front of the club house would be a better fitting final hole.

Played this course quite a lot this summer as not many others available via this app nearby so thank you to old randomly for that. Course in good condition and can be an enjoyable round but too often spoiled by slow play. Awful lot of blind tee shots where you have to wait for the bell and far too many four balls who simply refuse to let anybody through. Recipe for near five hour round. Me and playing partner walked off course today after 14 holes and near 4 hours, due to two four balls holding up whole course. Been similar experience last few times and getting worse. Had to wait almost every shot today and we are not particularly fast players, totally spoiled the day. Such a shame, golf etiquette becoming thing off the past

First time playing the course and I was not disappointed especially giving the time of year the course was bone dry giving the rain over the recent weeks and the greens were immaculate for the time year. Good test for all handicaps good variety of holes from long par 3s to driveable par 4s

Found the course in excellent condition. All the holes are different and will play again now that the layout in known and this will help shot selection and navigation

Love this wee course, not that long at 6000 odd yards, but some challenging holes well worth cash

We turned up early for our round and the staff were extremely helpful in allowing us to head out before our allotted tee time.

Course condition was excellent and the greens were spectacular. A single player came to join our 3 ball as there was a junior county final in front of us so we didn't want to hassle them.

To top it off he got a hole in one on the 13th which was just fantastic to witness.

Overall a great day out and we will be back!!
