Loved it!
Met a lovely girl at the bar who acknowledged my booking and got me scorecards and a ball marker (£3). Pointed us in the direction of the first tee and off we went. First time playing and had already chatted to some friendly members in the car park. Played the the course and loved it. Some beautiful holes esp the par 3’s!! A tough 4 hole finish with some fab quirky holes. Would thoroughly recommend if you’ve not played before. Course was quite spread out with lots of space . Thank you
Fantastic Course
This course is one of our favourites. A friend and I travel around as visitors and we always come back to Old Ranfurly.
Its holding up well against the recent rain with very little mud to be seen. Greens are also running well at the moment and are a testament to the greens staff.
There are a few unusually laid out holes from the 15th onwards and they need just the right placement of the ball. Honestly though, they just add to the enjoyment.
Some beautiful vistas to be found which overlook Glasgow and the Kilpatrick Hills when the weather is clear.
I'd thoroughly recommend a round.
What a gem
Lovely course. Greens were fantastic even in mid October. A few blind shots but very enjoyable round.
Didn’t Disappoint...
I’d heard great things about Old Ranfurly over the years, but never played until today. Late October, but weather was mainly bright with just enough wind to keep you thinking about your next shot. Interesting variety of holes, offering varied challenges. Superb views too.
Clubhouse was closed, but friendly grounds-keepers were on hand to give an update on course conditions and point us in the direction of the 1st tee.
Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Will be back.
Great Course
Enjoyed the round on this course, some interesting holes as well, very fast greens and the course is in great condition. The members seemed friendly apart from 1 who said we where holding play up but we had a 4 ball infront of us who where slow therfore its to be expected
Great Day
Excellent time hitting the ball at the Old Course Ranfurly. Members very friendly, course playing really well and good value for money. Will be back soon
Ranfurly Old Coursr
Beautiful sunny Sunday, little breeze. No signs where to go when you arrive, it is to the club/bar/restaurant entrance. Members welcoming and helpful. Delightfully challenging course. Remember and look out for bells to ring. On a full course pace of play 3 hours 30. If gent playing for first time have a quick look at 16th green from ladies tee up on the left as you pass by. Really enjoyed my round, might be even more challenging on a windy day.
First time playing this course 4 ball, the only fault is the blind shots but having saying that what a layout first 14/15 cracking holes then bang the best golf can get in the last 4 or 5 holes have everything guys it's a must play
9 out of 10 great condition

Tough and Tricky
Course is a real challenge, a lot of blind shots wether it be from the tee or to a green. Plays long aswell when the ground is wet and not much roll on the fairway. Some parts of the fairway were wet, almost all the rough was but the greens were dry and fast. No pro shop. Would definitely play again.
Good test
Woman who meet me on arrival was great also needy tips . Course in great condition. Tough challenging day but loved it. Definitely play again.
Lovely course
A great course in top condition. Good signage and markers so easy to get around.
Friendly locals and staff.
Recommended.
Hidden gem
First time playing this course and it won’t be the last. A few blind holes but it has some cracking holes. Holes 4-13 are epic. A must for the money. Would recommend
Superb
Played this course on Sunday 20th September in a fourball, first time on the course and i must say it was brilliant. Plenty of blind tee off holes and many challenges for any players. Staff and Members of the club were very polite and sociable. Particularly the lovely young lady who was serving us. I will be back soon! Thanks again!
