About

Holes 18
Type Semi-Private
Style Parkland
Par 68
Length 5454 yards
Slope 120
Rating 67.2

Lochgelly Golf Club is a relatively flat parkland course with views over the Meadows, the Lomonds and the Ochills. The views are worth the price of a round alone. It is located in Fife, Scotland, the heart of golfing country. Visitors have described it as a must-play course when in the area.

The golf course kicks off with a par 5 but only 479 yards. It's the only par 5 on the course and the longest hole at Lochgelly. The course is 5,454 yards, and par is 68.

No. 3 is a par 3, but certainly not a gimme at 222 yards. There are five par 3s on the Lochgelly Golf Club course, spread out liberally, with three on the front nine and two in the back. The back nine ends with a 319-yard par 4.

Lochgelly Golf Club has a pro shop, which is well-stocked by the resident PGA Professional.

Wet day

Lovely course , the day was considerably dampened when it started to pour down at the tenth and continued through the back nine . A good day though . Will be back

Quirky and fun

This is a lovely course with a lot of interesting holes . There are dog legs , water hazards , trees yet thankfully very little rough . Great condition for the time of year. We’ll be back

Oyster Catcher

This course is very challenging with lots of different holes. Well laid out and not a lot of walking from greens to tees . Nice views of the hills in the background.

A Most Pleasant Surprise!

Despite many visits to Fife, this was my first visit to Lochgelly Golf Course. The car park didn’t get my hopes up and the golf shop is modest, but the staff were more than friendly and the course looked inviting. Two long and somewhat unremarkable holes later interest and enjoyment levels suddenly shot up as twists and turns and fun challenges revealed themselves. Bunkers in all the right places, clever doglegs, interesting elevation changes, a couple tiny greens - this course turned out to be a blast. I was looking forward to coming back well before reaching the 18th! An enjoyable chat with the club captain on the way out sealed the deal!

Great course

First time at Lochgelly Golf Coursr but will definitely be back. Some really challenging holes that can be tight in places, but a really good course. It’s a lovely walk too with some gentle hills and great backdrops.

Great wee course

Had planned a round at my course but the frosty conditions closed the course, booked Lochgelly at the last minute and headed to the course, got greeted by a lovely lady in the pro shop, she gave me my mat and off I went to the 1st tee, obviously winter greens and mats from the fairway, I was the only one (daft enough) to be on the course the whole round through but I can't wait to be back to play it in the summertime
