The friendliest staff around that made my experience even better
Fun place
It’s a fun course, challenging and greens were a lot better this time around. Plenty of hazards to work around, and rough is well kept. Staff is always amazing at this place; especially at the bar. Driving range is space limited, so arrive extra early. Practice area is good except for the sand trap area which is not maintained at all. Pace is terrible on this course - no marshal, groups waiting on tee for way too long, and tee time spacing is only 10 minutes. Expect 6 hr round. Other than that, this place is awesome.
Pleasant Round
The staff at El Dorado has to be the very best in Southern California . After leaving the Pro shop, you leave with a smile and your round gets off to a great start. Keep up the great work, the course staff from the Pro Shop to the cart staff is very professional. Thanks
Good course
Greens were punched recently but can’t blame them foe maintenance.
Otherwise fun track.
Not worth $60+ go to Lakewood or Rio Hondo
Greens are too bumpy. Place is so packed. New trackman range might be cool but im sure they're gonna overcharge. Not open yet tho. Layout is great. Greens when rolled and cut are good but rn they suck. Water on 7 is moldy mildew disgusting... dont even get close.
Constant good conditions
Fairways green, tee boxes in great shape. Little windy as usual for a afternoon round. Greens rolling fast, need to be rolled a little bumpy on some holes. Overall great conditions.
Slow
The course was extra slow today. Had to quit after 11 holes. Wait was to long. Very disappointed. I play there all the time
Staff and Course
Each time I have went to this course the staff is Awesome and friendly , I love that they still announce who is on the tee , this creates great atmosphere and allows you to practice and they keep track of your times this is lost in golf now . Thank you for keeping this up and the course is in great dhspe
Love it here
The course is in very good shape. Fairways are luscious with green grass and the greens are prestige.
Solid course
From the more experienced golfer to the beginner this course offers a great challenge. You can have fun no matter what your goal is. Shooting for under 100 or trying to be on Par. Play it you will enjoy the challenge.
Work in progress
The greens must have been punched recently so they were rough to putt on. The rough is long In areas and some fairways look like they are trying to reseed. Must be prepping for an event. Overall it in good condition but not what I’m used to playing there.
New go to course.
Normally play Costa Mesa GC Los Lagos as it’s only 5 minutes from my home. El Dorado is more interesting layout, great conditions. Fairways were well manicured. Greens are in great shape I plan on playing here more regularly.
Good not Great
Nothing bad to say about the location... Polite employees, tee boxes, fairways and bunkers looked well kept, and putting greens rolled nice.
However for the price and pictures I thought this course would offer a more memorable experience.
An afternoon round taking 4.5 + hours with wait times for every shot didn’t impress me.
If you got time to kill and want to work on your golf game you can do that here… but if you’re debating spending your money here or a course you trust and know you will enjoy… go somewhere you trust because next time I will !
