El Dorado Park Golf Club

As usual, pace of play was very slow. Took 5 hours and that included a speed-up over the last 5 holes.

Greens were 1/2 full of sand and the other half was extremely bumpy. Rest of course was in nice condition but greens were awful. Never told me when I made my reservation - shameful.

Course was in good shape they should let you know if they punched the greens when booking online

I've played here 5 or 6 times in the last year and always question why I come back. I've yet to play a round in under 5 hours here. Today I arrived and actually teed off on time which was a first!! Granted when I arrived to the first green the guy in the pro shop forgot to mention they had just punched the greens!! Don't worry still was charged full price to play and was never informed of the arration that had just been done. The remainder of the course was in pretty good shape and it is a nice layout, I just can't understand why the pace is so slow!!!

The course overall it was okay a good value for your dollar but the spacing between teetimes was horrible it nearly took us 30 minutes per hole we started at 12:44 PM and barely got 14 holes in before we decided to leave and not to mention the group ahead of us was a senior group of four and was taking over shots we asked The pro shop to do something about that at the turn and they said well it's too bad there's nothing they can do

The facility is excellent with good practice areas, nice restaurant, good bar, easy access, and isolation from the day to day world. The course, however, has several areas under repair and sends out fivesomes making the pace of play quite slow. It took 5 1/2 hours to play 18.

Played yesterday 12/29/14. Got a 1:15 tee time for 30 bucks w/cart. Course was packed. Carts were sent out to us at the first green rather than at the house because they ran out from being so busy all day. Course was playing hard and fast. Greens really true and were definitely rolling I'd say at 10.5 . This course is a true test of your short game as the greens are postage stamps and you couldn't miss on the wrong side as you would heavily short side yourself. Rough was not bad at all. Probably an inch at most. Fairways were nice but some patchy areas. Bunkers had decent amount of sand. Must hit your drives accurate or you could get easily stimeed by a tree. All in all I would recommend this course. Would definitely like to come back for revenge

Steven taken tee times rude. I wanted to add a fifth guy to my booked in advance tee time. Steven told me look play 4 or get another time. Very rude in his way of handling the situation

Established course with fairly challenging layout. Premium placed on driving ball accurately. Nice greens and some reachable par 5's. Good walking course, no cart needed.

We were dissapointed because we had a 12:50 tee time and we were not teed off until 1:30. We were told there was a shortage of carts, but because of the delay we were only able to play 14 holes because the pace was very slow and the delay put us behind and it was too dark to play. The course was in good condition but we waited on every hole on the front nine.
So I think they need to manage the pace and figure out cart situation.

I book a time and didn't start at that time they need to speed things up or have some one at the first tee.

Usually always nicely managed nicely decent golfer playing a smooth fast pace golf. I had two 4 some in front of me that day and most of those players didn't wear golf shoes, obvious beginners beginners are OK as long as they try to keep up with the pace by getting ready for their ball or like u try to ride rather than walking. These people.were walking, talking while they wait for balls (even though they can hit)..called the Marshall and was told they paid for their dollar and can't force them.. well just very disappointed because it is a nice course that I usually liked to play and invited friends to play

Nice challenging course in better than good condition

If I knew half of all the greens were being worked on my foursome would have played elsewhere..

I loved this course. So many beautiful trees of all different types. The course is very challenging. Drop-offs on the greens many sand traps and water hazards. It is beautiful golf course. The staff is super friendly and it was a wonderful afternoon. I played on a holiday and thought it was going to be very crowded and they would be slow. Everyone kept right up and there was very little wait. This was my first time playing El Dorado. I will definitely be back!

The day we play was hot temperature alll over but Eldorado was very good choice ..and nice golf course ..

Had a tee time for 9:20 AM on a Friday. Unfortunately, the ladies club had the 10 tee times before us. We were delayed and did not tee off until close to 10. It took us 5 1/2 hours. I don't think it was the ladies fault, but every ahead of us was a 5some and it took forever! Course was in decent shape.

El Dorado fairways in poor shape, greens rough and it took 5:45 hrs to play round excluding a 20 min delay to start.

So how was our experience in a word TERRIBLE.

Started our round at 230 and didn't finish on a summer day, should be all you need to know right there. Greens are inconsistent and not taken care of. Course design is decent and could be a better place if they didn't send out as many people. Overall if it's a weekend it's not worth the money they are charging. Carts are limited too.

ELDO course conditions were let go after Long Beach Golf Festival Tournament. Greens 3/4 speed of tournament greens. Course seems defenseless.
