Long Beach Player’s Club members can book same day for $7 and also take advantage of free beverage and their daily free bucket of balls (use that key fob) at the usually crowded driving range. Be patient. My routine is to go on Thursday evenings to hit the driving range before playing the course in the 7:30-8pm range until they turn the lights off around 9:45. If the pace of play is just right you can tee off at 7:30 and finish 18 holes. If you are a little more experienced at hitting greens from 85 to 140 yards you don’t have to smack glow balls in the evening as many of the lights work, but if you are a newbie like me with game improvement irons it’s harmless and fun to break out the LED glow balls. The two water holes are dried up so no risk of losing a $5-$6 glow ball. Great opportunity to practice a variation of approach shots you might encounter on full length courses. Kind of relaxing to play at night even if darkness can add to the degree of difficulty. Tee boxes are a bit beat up from sporadic tee use, but the boxes are large enough that you can chose your spot to vary the yardage. Warning!!! Half dozen times playing this course and It seems like once per round a hole will be cut into a steep slope making putting an impossibility. Even with all that said, I say 5 stars for the fact you can easily close out any evening of the week with range time and short game practice.

Greens in good shape. Course was wet so the box was a little torn up. Overall a good course to get a quick round for wedge practice.

Grounds are well maintained. It’s a nice place to play. I’ll play here again.

Great value! Reasonable price considering there are tee boxes rather than mats.

1st of all was able to play at night with friend from out of town and my two sons. 2nd we played with glow balls and was fascinated just looking at the glowing balls in flight. I was surprised we didn’t lose one ball. Pace of play was really good in the evening. Greens were nice. Afterwards We were able to drive a couple balls with our drivers at the range just before it closed at 10:00

I have so missed being at the course - since junior golf stopped a year ago. The greens were in very good shape! Very pleasant round, no waiting - friendly staff.

First time because my daughter wanted to work on her short game. Well it definitely provided her this opportunity. Holes were short and we really didn’t need much more than a nine iron, wedge, and putter.
