Heartwell Golf Course

It’s been awhile since we played this course. I like the layout and you get a lot of course for your buck. Lots of wide fairways and the greens are some of the best we’ve played the last year. It’s just the fairways that needs help. So bumpy and too many bad lies. Even when you hit down the center you pray for a good lie! There is a lot of ground squirrel holes that will eat up your ball. It happened to my wife! Hope this helps with your decision.

This is a pleasant course that is a little ways from the freeway. No tee mats and a little muddy in places, which was understandable b/c it was drizzling that day. There are some interesting features and sections of pavement for the golf carts. Water hazards were drained, understandably for water conservation.

This course is all par 3’s and this course is perfect for beginners and young kids. I had a really hard time finding some of the holes because the Tee Signs were tiny and all in different places at every hole. Also the paths don’t go all around so it makes it difficult to navigate around. This course can be walked all day long, Cary is. It necessary. I booked it just because I like to play at different locations. Glad I experienced it but I won’t be going back. Not worth the money.

Course was very short. No hole was lo get than 125 yards. Holes were a little hard to follow and there wasn’t real post to let you know where they were. And then when you got to the tee box, the markers to hit from were of to the side. Fairways were bad. Greens were not take care of. To much play and not enough maintenance.

Tee boxes were very wet and soggy. Not much grass left to tee off on. Very wet

This is where I started my golf journey and I'm glad they've kept it up all these years. Not many 18 hols par 3 courses anymore so it's refreshing to go play a game at Heartwell.

3.5. Hours to play. Lots of beginners without etiquette. Tee boxes beat up. Green average condition. Good for tuning short irons

Has it always been cool for a gardener mowing to mow around the green youre about to putt on and do 3 full circles around you?

Has it always been cool for the gardeners to ride thru the green leaving tracks?

These guys are just here to collect a paycheck. Sad to see them treat the course this way.

There was a 7some, in front of us. Supposed to be two groups, but they were all friends, so they had 7 people putting at the same time. We asked the starter to break them up. They attempted to break them up into 2 groups, on three different occasions. The golfers got mad and started golfing even slower, deliberately. Literally had 4 groups backed up behind them. Terrible!

Should have kicked them off the course.

I have not been back at this course for quite some time , last time I went I was given no notice the greens were being aerated , so there was sand all over the greens. Some of the holes were being punched so they put the flag in the middle of the fairway so you weren’t able to putt only chip it closest to the hole. Honestly ridiculous , I would have much rather been told this and got my money back and gone somewhere else. So I missed out on about 4 holes.
