Rating 70.2

Nestled in the rolling hills of Gold Country, Apple Mountain Resort has a dramatic landscape that provides plenty of elevation changes, making it a nearly impossible course to walk. Some of the drops from tee to green are unbelievable, offering unrivaled views of the surrounding mountains. Nearly every hole enjoys a stunning backdrop. The incredibly diverse terrain makes the golf course a challenge regardless of whether you are a novice or a pro. Golfers will have to contend with mature trees, water hazards, and numerous strategically placed bunkers in addition to the uneven lies and blind shots that are a result of the undulating landscape. Apple Mountain Resort's golf course is especially nice to play in the summer since its location enjoys a temperature that is at least a few degrees cooler than the Sacramento Valley.

Never disappointed!

During my yearly visit to see relatives this course is a must play. It's so beautiful and kept in great shape. With the influx of Covid membership they've put that right back into course enhancements. Like all difficult courses, if you keep in play you're able to enjoy the challenges and scenery. However, it was sad to see that some poor golfers frustration taken out on tee markers and a couple of greens.

Great Coarse

This is a must play. A very challenging short coarse with lots of uneven lies and blind shots. Beautiful setting. Greens were supper smooth but slow. Pace of play is always slow due to the difficulty of the coarse. Conditions were great. Only downside is that there was no beverage service.

What a great round

As a new resident of Camino, Apple Mountain has become my go to course. It's a challenging track even after learning the layout. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'm going to get full membership as soon as my wife lets me (lol).

Awesome Beautiful difficult course

Let’s be real here. Apple Mountain is a Gorgeous golf course. Everything is green or greener. It is well groomed, the greens rolled true and it has some spectacular holes. BUT! There is always a But, this is a difficult golf course for older folks. Missed shots get highly penalized by either a lost ball or by hitting from a slope with heavier grass. Yes, I had a bunch of balls above or below my feet but the hardest were the ones with poor footing. If you hit it straight, you will have a wonderful day at this course. It you push it left and right, plan on losing a fair number of balls and regularly be frustrated by difficult shots. Yes, I still recommend this course.

Beautiful stunning views

Typical mountain course. You need to keep the tee shot in fairways otherwise ball is lost. Greens are sloping. Big greens long putts are hard to get.
