Apple Mountain Golf Resort
About
Nestled in the rolling hills of Gold Country, Apple Mountain Resort has a dramatic landscape that provides plenty of elevation changes, making it a nearly impossible course to walk. Some of the drops from tee to green are unbelievable, offering unrivaled views of the surrounding mountains. Nearly every hole enjoys a stunning backdrop. The incredibly diverse terrain makes the golf course a challenge regardless of whether you are a novice or a pro. Golfers will have to contend with mature trees, water hazards, and numerous strategically placed bunkers in addition to the uneven lies and blind shots that are a result of the undulating landscape. Apple Mountain Resort's golf course is especially nice to play in the summer since its location enjoys a temperature that is at least a few degrees cooler than the Sacramento Valley.

Can't beat Apple Mountain
This is one of my favorite Sierra courses. Hard to believe it was in this good of shape in December! Super friendly, courteous staff got us right out playing even though we were about 30 minutes early.
Wonderful mountain course
Great day at Apple Mountain! Greens were very firm due to the cold weather but otherwise course was in great shape. Always fun to play there with my son.
What a steal
Found this great Golf Now deal for $15/pp w/cart. Although it had rained beforehand the course was in excellent condition. It was cart path only, which made it a little slow but there were only a few of us out there so the pace of play was like a walk in the woods. The staff was very friendly. Had a great time.
Wet & Wild
Cart path only for the day. Course was wet with some minor plugging. Greens were in excellent shape. Remains one of my favorite courses to play no matter what. Lots of challenging holes. Keep up the good work, Apple Mountain.
Started out a little chilly but got better. Beautiful day for a round of golf before the weather gets bad.
Perfect weather for an early afternoon play in December.. The staff welcomed us as always to make us feel good. We love to drive up here, 60 miles one way, couple of times a month to just enjoy the beautiful scenery, nature, birds and colorful trees and flowers. and a wonderful round of golf.
Always reminds us the beautiful Smoky Mountain in Tennessee and Stoney Mountain golf course in Atlanta. Totally enjoying 4 hours of golf and the dinner afterwards. The apples are delicious and fresh.
The course is always challenging and that’s why we just love the mountain golf. Gives me higher than average score here most of the time than any other courses in Northern California.
Pro shop staff are great, best people who seem to understand the golf culture, in addition to their courteous and professional way of doing business.
Good stockings of merchandise and display. Good price too. We enjoy taking advantage of occasional discounts of shirts and hats.
We have invited Southern California golfers(house guests) the last few years and they keep asking when they can come up and play at the Apple Mountain. They loved playing here too.
As always, many thanks to the GolfNow for providing us these wonderful offers.
The layout was amazing!
You know those picturesque paintings where you tee off from a cliff to a ledge where the perfectly manicured green awaits your shot? I thought those places didn’t exist, but they do! Every hole is breathtaking! So affordable too!
Beautiful course
It felt like beeing on vacation. Very friendly staff. The smell of the surrounding pine trees. Great course condition and layout.
Great weather but overbooking spoiled a perfect game.
Everything was as expected: just great course to play and enjoy the autumn beauty, except the pace of the play. We usually complete our game within 4 hours. It took us 5 & 1/2 hours! Just too many players on the course. No one appeared to be beginners. Still enjoyed the round.
Apple Hill Golfing
This golf course is very challenging. You do not want to walk this course as your consistently climbing up and down hills. Great place to go when it's really hot in the Sacramento Valley. Awesome views of the Sierra mountains. Make sure you bring a lot of golf balls for this course. LOL
Pure up & down!
The greens were beautiful, they ran true & fast.
Early October is a great time to play Apple Mountain.
Best Course in California
Apple Mountain brings out your A game. The layout demands precision shots and smart plays...
Best course in the area
this is the best kept secret in the area. Just 20 minutes from Folsom and so worth the drive. The staff is friendly and the course is in great shape. Apple Mountain may be challenging, however fair. Also the practice facility is one of the best in the Sacramento valley.
great time
beautiful course in foothills, nothing like it in flat lands, everyone should experience this course.
Fun mountain course with beautiful views
This was my first time playing Apple Mountain. I drove up from Sacramento (about an hour drive from downtown Sacramento).
The practice area was great. Nice chipping area, bunkers to practice from, etc. The only drawback to the practice area was that the range was limited to the mats today.
The course is a typical mountain course with lots of dramatic elevation changes, both uphill and downhill holes. There are alot of dogleg holes carved around the mountain terrain. The course is beautiful, but there were LOTS of areas with bare dirt around the greens and on the slopes in the fairways.
The course is not long in length, but it plays alot longer than the scorecard indicates due to the elevation changes. The course rating is low, which definitely surprises me considering that this is a pretty challenging course.
If you’re playing for the first time, stop thinking and book a tee time. The views alone and cool mountain air are worth it.
Great
As always course was in great shape. Pace of play was great Marshall was very nice. Only thing I could ask for was for military discount to be everyday not just mon-thurs.
Sloooooooow play
5hours for 15 holes multiple 5-somes and terrible 4somes playing from tips barely passing ladies tees beautiful course long way to drive
