Pace of Play
The only issue was the pace of play of a party of 4 in front of us. No Marshall came around to observe. We had a 340 tee time and didn't get done til. 815 (dark). We waited a total of 30 to 45 mins because of the slow play. When I pay for a 18 I want to play it all and not feel rushed to finish.
Skylinks
They just raised the prices again. The most expensive public course in the area - for no reason. Lakewood and El Dorado are much better courses.
Sand traps are disgraceful. Packed dirt and the maintenance group never smooths them over. Foot prints from many days still in there. . Tee boxes all slanted one way or the other. Greens this week were over cut by the mover leaving marks everywhere.
I could deal with this except for the price increase. $80+ to walk????
Sharing a cart
I was a solo paired with two other solos and had to share a cart with one of them. not sure why but it was pretty awkward.
Fairways very dry greens are good good course high price
Daylight getting longer
The weather was nice w/a nice cool breeze. The course was in good shape which is not surprising given its location across from the airport.
The fairways are wide and long so keeping ball in play isn't too hard. There are a few water features. It's a nice round.
Back after many years
Fairways are the highlight here. Short cut Bermuda is fantastic and feels more like a private course. Greens were true and fast. Tee boxes well manicured and level. Overall great round and the leader of the 4 LB public courses.
