Nice challenge
Fun course. Strategic placement of fairway bunkers. Greenside bunkers a little firm and compacted. A course well worth revisiting often.
If Not for the Greens
Had a chance to play Skylinks miday.. was pleasantly surprised by a quick pace of play! The course looked great.. the fairways are the best in Long Beach, like hitting off carpet! I’ve always enjoyed the layout here and that still holds true.. the bummer for me this day was the condition around and on the greens. Quite a bit of bare dirt and patchy grass around the greens which leaves some pretty poor choices for short game shots. The greens themselves were excessively slow and so bumpy you couldn’t hold a line. It appears the greens had been aeriated some time ago but weren’t healed yet.. i always look fired to putting on these greens.. usually quick and true
Today was a frustrating and disappointing experience
But I have no doubt the green sleeper will have them back to normal in no time
Unorganized
There was a commotions in golf shop because guy was having problems. Customers were getting frustrated with the late 20 year old because he was being rude. He needs to be replaced. Many people were complaining. They need a better staff for such a good layout.
Guy in golf shop was rude to customers
Long line because checkin guy was being rude to customers. Surprised to see such bad service.
Very rude checkin guy with hat looks like a mixed Mexican. Attitude like he didnt want to be working. Mad at the world. Pretty sad
It sad when people dont like their jobs and just put out bad vibes especially to a paying customer just trying to enjoy a round of golf. Late 20s looking miserable at his job looking pretty patheitic making minimum wage. Sad way to live. Guy with hat in checkin needs an attitude adjustment, looking like a mad chick.lol
Not too shabby
First time playing here. Long beach courses are pretty consistent among each course. Prefer playing the Long Beach courses over other municipal/city courses around it. Slightly more expensive, but worth the money. Hopefully GolfNow figure out how to open up more tee times and NOT let these brokers hog it and sell it for profit. Making players like me wonder why we have to pay $20 to $40 more sometimes to use a broker to play these courses.
