Course staff did not honor GolfNow tee time
Have played this course dozens of times in past decade, and love the layout. Joined GolfNow and have made a couple reservations through that service. On each of the last two rounds made with golf now, the course put someone else in my tee time, and claimed that my tee time was later (interfering with my chances of finishing the round before sunset). I showed the Proshop and the starter my emailed written tee time confirmation and they just shrugged their shoulders. Apparently, Skylinks wants the reservation referrals from services like GolfNow, but does not feel bound to honor them. Beware.
Play Skylinnks
The course conditions are good...and the pace of play wasn't so bad. The Marshall at the First tee box was excellent. Very nice gentleman. He would allow us to play an hour before our actual T-time when a group didn't show up on time. I would play this course over again.
Thanks.

Course very good shape greens excellent fairways and tee boxes good .. little steep for 1230 tee time at 70 bucks but other than that great time !!
Course in terrible condition, badly managed
I’ve played this course regularly for ten years. At the end of November, 2022, it is near the worst condition I’ve ever seen it. Very unfortunate, because this is an expensive municipal course to play, and a terrific layout. Compounding the problems, the course does little or nothing to manage play, making for an unnecessarily slow round. And in my case, they put someone else in my tee time and had me tee off later, resulting in my not finishing before dark. The starter’s reaction - a shrug. I recommend waiting till spring or summer before trying this course. Maybe they’ll get their act together by then.
Course conditions
So bad!!!! Reminds me of links at Victoria only Victoria has better greens. Worst greens in Southern California. Bare fringes and fairways. Silt in bunkers not sand. 80$ to play and really slow. Might be worth 25$ but that’s it. Much better options than this cow pasture
Honestly not worth it anymore
Over priced, fairways are sooo thin and dry. Greens are decent but not consistent. Not much to be excited about in this course. It has a few really interesting approach shot with bunkers visually intimidating you. But that’s mostly cause the bunkers has rocks in them haha. I used to love this course but not for the price they want. Much better deals elsewhere
Bumpy n unrepaired divot greens!
Bumpy n unrepaired divot greens! Course not counting the greens are in great shape. Both greenskeeper and every golfer should repair divots!
Arrive early not on time lol
Got stuck in the usual traffic jam on 710 and just barely made my tee time (1 min late), Starter was kind enough to group me (Solo) w/ some Older Dudes since they sent out the 11:50 group i was supposed to be with 10 mins early. I had planned on walking with my pushcart but they gave me a golf cart & didn’t have to pay the ride fee so that was nice of them. Pop here has definitely been addressed i remember years ago on a weekend it was like a 5 hr round, old dude in my group who works here said they no longer do 5somes and TTime spread is 10 mins vs 7 mins (pre-covid) which must’ve helped with the pace of Rounds.
As for the course, fairways are great (still don’t understand how to play off it since it’s a different grass than most munis in the LA area) greens are tricky with a lot of tiers or slopes, i did notice they didn’t have the black/back tees up so idk if that’s a usual thing or they only bring those out for the LBC am championship or tourneys.
