want to come back to play again and staffs are very friendly...

Love playinG this course for the value . Front nine always plays very steady but back is always very slow especially since we play after 2 pm. No marshals on the back nine to keep golfers moving. My only bad review.

Everything these days places value on pace of play. This course does a horrible job of keeping things moving. First, our 8:50 AM time meant we teed off at almost 9:20. Then it was a crawl. I'm only upset with myself because I come here once every 3 months or so and it's always the same. I guess I hope for improvement because I do like the course and it's short enough that I can shoot a good score. Still 5.5-6 hours is much too long, waiting on every shot. I've decided finally to not go back!

But, if you have all the time in the world, and a foursome that likes to sit and talk, you will like this course and the price is reasonable.

I was thinking that I would get a quick round in at one of my favorite courses... boy was I wrong. The staff was very unfriendly at the proshop to start things off. Our tee time was called on time, however... we then had to wait an extra 17 min just to get a cart due to the fact that about 7 groups of people behind our tee time already had the carts. Just sitting there stacked up at the first tee in the carts. Horrible management of the situation. Skylinks also lets out 5somes, so be ready for some horrifically slow play. Teed off at 11:45 and didn't finish until 5:30. To top it off the greens looked like the face of the moon... I've played here about 20 times and the greens have never been like this. This experience will cause me to never come back here again due to the lack of caring by the staff at the pro shop, the conditions of the greens, and the excruciatingly slow, almost 6 hour pace. Didnt see a marshal trying to speed up the pace once the whole 6 hour round. Find a different course for your money.

I am sad to say that I had a poor experience at skylinks. We booked 3 players and all of us are very skilled and friendly golfers. However when told we would be having a single join us, the staff asked if we would mine the 4th to ride in one of our carts. We normally don't mind these situations but we were playing a serious match and my friend who was riding solo didn't want to chase around an old mans 5 shots before reaching his own drive. It is hard to focus on your game when watching a hack play with you. So kindly we asked if we could take 3 carts out and not have to deal with this matter. We didn't mind playing with the old man but we were told we have poor attitudes and given a hard time about the situation . I book a lot on golf now. Hoping we can resolve this soon thanks. -ted

The course is in pretty decent shape and conveniently located. However, it took us over 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. There were multiple groups in front of us that consistently played 1 to 2 holes behind the group in front of them, causing us and everyone behind them to wait every shot. Based on conversations with other groups, we were not the only group to call the proshop to ask for a marshall to come out, but not one appeared all day. I understand that Saturdays in LA can be a long golf day, but there was no reason today for the slow pace of play except for the very slow playing groups not being told to quicken their pace by a marshall. I doubt I'll be back, because after speaking with the proshop, their answer was "welcome to weekend golf in LA". Not the customer service attitude that I am willing to support with my business

Greens were in bad conditions. Doesn't look like they move the hole so everyone walks and plays in the same area which was in bad shape.

This course is challenging and is worth playing at a discounted rate. The greens were pretty beat up but the ball rolled true for the most part. It was my first time playing Skylinks and I am looking forward to the challenge of playing there again in the near future.

At times, Skylinks is very crowded, but today was wide open, tricky course at times wide fairways, but don't get in the trees that are well established. Greens were slick and tricky, also.

Course is in great shape, and an early round (6 am) will get you going for the day. Greens were rolling nice and true, and all the tee boxes for the 4th of July were in great shape too.

Price to ride is a bit much for this venue, but an under 4.5 hr round will make it OK, otherwise avoid weekends for prices over 65 bucks.

Pace of play is awful. It took over 5 1/2 hours. No marshals on the course at all to help speed up play. About what to expect from American Golf. They need to get with the "While We're Young" program.

The staff were very dismissive and disrespectful...

Friendly staff, good fairways, trap with consistent sand and great rolling green

This is a great course, easy to get to, easy to play, decent facility, but the pace of play took 5 hrs and 20 minutes for 18 holes. What a joke, and they put groups of 5 out together like its normal. Took forever and the marshall did not even address people who were playing from tees that were too advanced for them.

pace of play was good, course well maintained, good value.

It’s been almost a year sine playing this course. Skylinks is fairly challenging with nice greens that actually roll and noy bump too much. Watch out for those bunkers, if you get in one you better bring you’re a-bunker game. The course is long enough with doglegs and plenty of opportunities to score and not to score. Hehe!

You do get the occasional group that may hit up on you – just manage them accordingly and you’ll enjoy the round.

Other courses have not charged me the full fee for a no show as a courtesy especially if there is a reasonable reason why someone in the group could not make it. This is something I believe the course has control over. I booked a 3 some but I could not show as my 2 year old son woke up sick. The other 2 in my group did show and played the course and the course got the full fee from them. Course also ended up putting another 2 some with my friends so they didn't lose any money. Under the circumstances, it would've been nice if course didn't charge me the full green fee of $55+ but there it was on my card, charged as a no show.

My friend and I found a deal on Golfnow for a Sunday at 7:20 Am for 9 holes off the back nine. We were able to play just the two of us, noone behind us, or in front of us. It was the most relaxing game of golf I'd had in a long time. Great staff and challenging greens.

Not your typical Muni. The staff and service was more like an upscale resort course they made me feel really welcome and the thank you email the next day was a nice touch.

Greens were very true and enjoyed the unjulation. Very pleased with the Sunday afternoon pace. Was able to finish and had one of my better rounds (8 pars). GPS cart was appreciated as I was not entirely knowledgeable of the course layout and trap distances.
