Chardonnay Golf Club
About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Love chardonnay
I recomend Chardonnay to everyone...if you are anywhere near the Napa Valley....make a tee time....you will love it too......especially if you can get a good rate like my Compadre and I got today... .
Don't waste any time....make a tee time now
Chardonnay. Cart paths only today!
I was somewhat surprised to see that the course was cart paths only today,. I found out why, pretty quickly!
The Front nine fairways were pretty soggy in places.
The back nine seemed to be a bit dryer.
The greens were in good condition, but the bunkers need sand.
As usual, the staff throughout the complex were on top of everything - in the pro shop, in the snack bar, and on the course.
Overall, an entirely enjoyable day.
Soggy Fairway and Slow Play
All the fairways were very soggy, much worse than the rough. Finished 18 holes in over 5 hours. This course should not be in operation, it should be closed until the condition improves.
Awesome course
First time playing here and it was super fun!!!!
Tough greens but amazing layout!!
Title
We both enjoyed the round of golf! Always love the setup of the course with the 6 par 3's 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's!! Round was a little slow but we were able to pass groups and finish under 4hrs. Def would play again
Super friendly
The staff at Chardonnay are sooo helpful, nice, polite and friendly (both the golf shop and restaurant). Today I played there for the 1st time and it was a very good experience. The greens are pristine, the fairways are wide... can’t ask for more! My putter broke Before I finished my round and the staff lent me one. Will be returning for sure. Keep up the good work guys
Driving Range
I arrived an hour early to hit some balls at the driving range and the range was closed. I ask the guy behind the counter how are we notified if the driving range is closed. He says most players call in. They do not post it on there website. He also stated the driving range will be closed for the rest of the year.
This is a really nice course and they charge a premium price they really need to have a driving range so players can warm up before playing.
Kind of lonely out there today!
Lots of people missed a great opportunity to play today - the first break in the first gullywashing series of rainstorms of the fall / winter seasons.
The fairways were not soggy and the greens were in great condition, despite the recent dumping of 5” of rain!
The sand in the bunkers had been compacted by the rain, but it didn’t take away anything from the days’ golf.
Greens
The Greens were the best I have putted on all Summer. They were in such fine shape, I was almost afraid to walk on them.
Enjoyable round
Everything in good condition, but letting the greens grow out a little after plugging last month. Not shaggy, just slow.
Beautiful course on a beautiful day
This is my third time playing here. On the first two times, I wasn't impressed that much with the condition of the course. There were some soggy areas that made it more difficult to play on several holes. But this time, I was very impressed with a much-improved condition. The fairways were excellent and well manicured. The greens were perfect, albeit a little too fast (too many 3 putts for me, sadly.) I will definitely come back again!
Had to quit
Pace of place was ridiculous. Had to quit. Had a wedding going on the ninth hole playing very loud music. I was at a disco while I’m playing golf.
Love the track, but value still not fully there
This is a great, challenging but fair course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens we’re all in great condition. Like most courses here in the valley, the traps are really just dirt which makes for very interesting escapes green side.
I love playing the course but typically it is overpriced most of the year. Fall and winter rates make it better but there are so many choices of great course that offer a better overall value.
If you haven’t played Chardonnay, hurry up and do so, especially right now where the weather is the best and the rates match the value.
Was good
Used to be one of my go to places to play. I went out after 1pm in hopes of finding the course with fewer people on it, It was, but they had a number of fivesomes out there that ruined my hopes of a quick round. If they continue fivesomes not worth the time.
Playing through The Vineyards
Excellent day for golf. The temperature was 77 degrees, sunshine, and a beautiful golf course winding through the Vineyards. The pace of play was excellent, and a few tough holes to keep you on your toes (#5,#7, #15). The course has wide open fairways for the most part and if you do hit into the Vineyards (not to deep) You can find your ball pretty easily. I would definitely play this course again and the next time I’ll stop off at the 19th hole and enjoy the libations.
