About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Golfer Reviews
Great bang for your buck $$$
Best course in the great Bay Area for your money hands down
Great course
1st time playing here and was not disappointed. I'll be back!
Great Course, Terrible Pace of Play
I have played Chardonnay twice in the last month. The course is in great shape and at a great price. My only complaint is the pace of play. If you can’t get a tee time before 9 am, expect a 5+ hour round. My first round this month ended up being a 6 hour round and the second was a little over 5 hours.
Smoky day on the course.
The course conditions were good but some parts of the course are showing signs of drying out a bit.
The staff lived up to expectations - very positive and eager to please.
Still one of my favorite courses.
Fast becoming one of my favorite courses.
Chardonnay has a great layout - some easy holes, some not so easy and a couple created with evil intent in mind (#’s 7 and 17).
Great staff - every one of them.
Don’t play if tournament in the morning
It was very slow play cart ran out of power.
Course is tough sometimes windy in the afternoon and that makes it tougher!
Nice Course but always have issues checking in
Played here a couple times this month with the Hot Deal before noon which always include a cart and cost more than the other tee times but the starter always questions this and requires proof as if they want more money. STARTER please note: The 11:06 tee times are cart included and don't ask for proof and step back as if someone has the cooties you should know this and not blame Golf Now. Anything after this time is walking. Besides this issue the course is in nice shape the greens keeper is doing a nice job.. the tee boxes are in good and the Greens are smooth considering the traffic they are getting.
Idiart
fun course, hard walk. Pace of play could have been sharper. Greens very slow. Had a lot of fun.
Exceeded my expectations
I would like to preface this review by saying I’ve been playing golf for the last 25 years. I’ve played dozens and dozens of courses and feel I have a pretty good gauge on what makes a golfing experience enjoyable. We recently hosted a group outing at Chardonnay Golf Course and we had an outstanding experience. From the ease of organizing this outing with Octavio (he was outstanding to work with) and checking in to carts being set up for us with names labeled on each cart.
We had everyone from the single digit handicapper to people who played their very first round of golf on this course that day. Thanks to their kind staff and professional marshal, we were able to introduce the game of golf to people that may have otherwise never played and everyone had a great time. Most people ordered food and were very impressed with the quality. On top of their restaurant being fantastic, they had a food cart on the course on a Tuesday which is amazing in and of itself. The bartender also made great drinks before and after the round.
I was very impressed with the quality of the course. Fairways were thick and plush and greens rolled true. It was a very wonderful experience and something we want to do once or twice a year. There’s no doubt we will be returning to the Chardonnay Golf Club as I don’t think their quality for the value can be matched in the bay area.
Beautiful, But
Beautiful course with nice panoramas and in very nice condition, greens in good condition and pace of play was speedy, but I would not recommend walking, several steeeeep hills, and the course is fairly long.
