Chardonnay Golf Club

Kind of sad how bad shape the corse is in. The greens are great. Other than that everything else needs a ton of work. No sand in bunkers, most are mud pits. Can’t even rake them they are so firm. Uneven tee boxes with lots of foot holes. Lots of missing ball washers. Dry patches everywhere. Where is the money going on this course??? Staff is awesome but they need a better maintenance crew.

The greens and fairways are in good shape but the tee boxes and sand traps could use some help. No beverage cart or water on the course so the pro shop should inform everyone that they should stock up before going out.

No marshall or starter for this money kind of ruins it. People want to play by themselves which is understandable at municipal but I was between 3 twosomes that all wanted to be alone . Totally ruins pace of play. I never play here so it might be better when not a holiday.

Love escaping the valley heat and playing Chardonnay GC. Course always has great views playing amongst the vineyards. Tee boxes need upkeep. I saw many painted construction lines on the paved cart path, so hopefully they are breaking up and repouring new concrete soon. Only saw one bathroom on the course. Carts are showing their age.

Bunker maintenance is not good at all. Very bad bad. Greens were smooth but in the very slow side. Layout is very good. Value for $$ is ok. I walked, unsure what cart add-on would be.

Pleasantly surprised with pace of play. 4h 15m on Sunday afternoon. Faster would be better, but think we just got lucky maybe. Didn’t see a Marshall

Overall, a very enjoyable day at Chardonnay. Course in good shape. Greens rolled true. Fairways firm and fast. Bunkers are baked out and not really playable. Some of the largest greens around. Could use a little better signage in places (Hole 5 for example). But layout meanders through the vineyards providing some scenic holes. A creek works its way through the property and is in play on many holes. Lots of forced carries. Would definitely recommend and would play again. No sign of a marshall at any point, but play moved at a decent rate the day we played.

The greens were in good condition. Some of the bunkers were hard packed scrabble.

The cart paths were in very bad and in some case terrible conditions.

For a private club I was surprised that there was no beverage cart driving around offering drinks, especially on a hot day. They could have made a fortune.

Course needs to improve fairway condition. it was worse than last year condition.

Course is fun and challenging, just needs some attention paid to the bunkers, they are an embarrassment

Front nine was great pace, back nine was a joke, 3 groups in front us the worse is that they don't have a marshal to tell people hey need to keep a good pace, 5 hour round is unacceptable in my opinion, lay out and course condition was great otherwise

This course is always challenging, fun, and in great shape. The views are awesome.
