Shorecliffs Golf Club
About
Shorecliffs Golf Course wanders through the coastal canyons and valleys of San Clemente, heading towards the beautiful shoreline. Situated just steps from the ocean, the course enjoys cool ocean breezes and a temperate climate, which makes it a year-round haven for golfers. Its location also provides the golf course with plenty of scenic ocean views. The course features narrow fairways tightly lined with trees and small greens bordered by sand bunkers. The front nine is shorter and requires more accuracy than the longer, wider back nine. Shorecliffs opens with one of the trickiest par-5s in the area. This dogleg left hole features trouble both left and right. Although the layout does offer a fair challenge, players of all skill levels will feel comfortable taking on the golf course.

Golfer Reviews
Waste of time
8 man groups playing ahead with a 6 hour round. Marshall said the course manager doesn’t work weekends and there was not much he could do about the group because there were multiple 5+ groups on the course.
Spend the extra money and go to Talega.
Shorecliffs Nice
Shorecliffs golf property is superb, there’s a few fairly narrow fairways but then a handful of them surprisingly wide. A continuous breeze made for a perfect day for us.
Good course
Pretty good course overall. It was fun to play with some really tough par 3 but a couple extremely short par 4’s and a shorter par 5. Par 5 tee boxes seemed to be under renovation so that made sense but hole 11 par 4 is like 230 something yards. You already got hard par 3’s just add one more. Pace of play was really fast until we caught up to a 7 person group and the course Marshall was cool with it. Never have seen that before and I pray I never do no matter the occasion.
Waiting is the hardest thing..!
First, I have not played this course before the clubhouse was redone.
Very nice upgrade and improvements from the Tar Paper shack of 5-7 years ago..!!
As for the course, now I know why I’ve avoided playing the course for years- Waiting on the next tee- has always been a problem with the course. Yesterday, unfortunately, was not an exception..!
There was actually an employee on the course at one of the holes that was backed up- and he said he wasn’t a Marshal..??
Slow pace of play continues to be a problem with the course..
Course however was in good shape..!
Love this golf course
Traveled 30 miles to play this golf course, and it was worth every penny. Teed off before 7 a.m. and finished in under 3.5 hours. The fairways were in great shape, and the rough was moderate.
This is a great executive course to go out with the boys, grab some drinks, get away from all the noise, and make some birdies.
The only reason it’s not a 5 star course is because they don’t have a proper driving range, and some of the tee boxes are on a slope.
Can’t wait to come back.
Poor course management
Slow play, no starter so everyone just took off when they wanted to, no rangers so play was extremely slow.
Some groups had 5-6 players a lot of 2 players so very poorly managed.
Played here frequently but this year has been consistently slow play and won’t go back.
Good budget friendly course for south OC
Only played the back 9 on a monday morning. I’ve only been playing for about 8mo so this was very nice for me. Fairways were nice with a few spotty areas, greens were well kept. Grounds keepers, maintenance, and landscapers do a wonderful job. There was some construction along one of the paths but that is understandable it will look nice in the future.
Much better experience than 2 years ago
Narrow but interesting course with ups & downs. Clean and new cart was equipped with bottle of water, towels and tees. The pro shop people were very nice. The glass condition was much better than before.
