well my buddy said hey lets try this course its inexpensive............... dear jesus this is one of the worst courses ever! horrible shape, most of the holes make no sense, odd tee box placements, all you need are the clowns teeth. this course is for bad golfers that live in San Clemente with nothing to do, bad golfers or too cheap to play a real course.... UGHHHH

The course is great !! Needs more signage to direct you to the next hole.

Carts are slow.

Great value for your money. Bring a few extra balls if you can't keep it straight. Great staff will defiantly play again when in the area.

Holes 5 & 6 are closed due to housing construction. The make shift layout is a bit confusing and the construction is expected to take a couple years. They also need to upload the new layout to the GPS folks.

Staff and pace were great!

You get what you pay for. Was looking for a course to play before watching the Masters. Shorecliffs had a bunch of times open before 8am and the price was right so booked a time. Didn't realize 2 holes got closed off so they had to turn it into a par 68 by cutting up some longer holes into two par 3's.

The good on this course is the price is right and their greens are usually in real good shape. The cons on this course is it's gimmicky and it is the hardest course in OC. No joke. It is target golf with thin patchy fairways and lots of white stakes OOB. You will shoot 5 over your handicap Guaranteed! Every time we play we always vow never to play there again but we always show back up every couple months. In OC that price is tough to beat.

First the course only had 16 holes (two were slit into four), that wasn't mentioned on GolfNow site otherwise I wouldn't have booked it. Well I did and wish I haven't, the course was in bad shape, old and not cared for, buildings haven't been touched since they were built.. on the pace of play, there was some sort of group outing, bunch of drunks just tearing up the course, driving the carts on the tee boxs and up to the green, took 25 minutes to play one hole. There was a marshal on the course but clearly did do anything just drove around and even saw some of what the others were doing but just kept driving..

Wouldn't play here if it were free

Only good thing to say is the staff in the pro shop were very nice and helpful

I will never go back to this course. GolfNow needs to make sure they reflect the courses true condition

I don't often leave negative reviews on courses, and won't begin now. However, this is a local's course, and should not be confused with nearby Monarch Beach, or any better municipal course. If you are visiting from out of town, go somewhere else.

This course has soooooo much potential, just not sure it will get there any time soon.

Course was still a little wet but after all the rain we have received in Southern California this past month it held up good. Greens were true and fast. This is a course we will play again. They had some detours on course and some temporary greens as well as some cart path only but the course was still very playable.

construction and weird layout everywhere and woul not recommend this course to anyone.

And taking out two holes during construction and turning other holes into par 3's only made it worse.

We enjoyed our round but got stuck behind a threesome that four putted every green. The greens are very nice. Fairways were a bit wet. Rough was the jungle.

This course is easy to get a tee time at a cheap price. The greens were maintained well, and the fairways and tee boxes were average at best. The course is very tight with steep slopes on both sides of the fairway for many holes so accurate shots are key to scoring well here. Overall, this is a cheap easy course.

The course is never real crowded. It's 6K yards so it's a decent length. It has some interesting holes some over 500 yds long so you better be good with your woods or long distance hybrids. It's by the ocean so it is always cool. The greens are well kept and the green fees are pretty good.
